If you haven't watched it, and want to re-watch it, give it a go.

I had seen it before but it was entertaining to watch again.

A few musings...

1.) That season was MUCH tougher than I had remembered. I did recall that we had the "toughest schedule in the NFL" but unlike some year's, the schedule lived up to its billing of being so difficult.

I had forgotten about week 3 in the brutal, horrid loss to Philly. They sacked Ben 9 times.

2.) Brutal schedule in all, we still went 12-4. And we beat the Ravens 3 times that season, obviously, including the playoffs. **** we lost to them twice last year, and they weren't even good.

So any year that we beat Balt. 3 x is a good year.

3.) I had forgotten what a good D looks like. Those guys were solid. Harrison (in his prime, won D MVP that season), Troy (when he could still run), Aaron Smith, Keisel, Farrior, Ike, Hampton,
Woodley, Clark....that was a solid group.

4.) Holmes was our AB of those days. He was almost as good at the time. He was crucial to our post season run for a ring, and, obviously, key to winning the Super Bowl.

5.) The O-line was pretty bad. Winning a ring with that line is a testament to just how good Ben is.

Those guys really had a love for each other. You don't win a ring without that.

I remember watching the Eagles game thinking, there is no way we make the superbowl this year.

Then I was super close to not going to the Dallas game in Pit, but that was the turning point game of the season, and my favorite regular season game that year, where we overcome a 10 point deficit to win in the 4th qtr. Great game!

I also remember the titans beating us and stomping on the Terrible Towel afterward. We got our revenge week 1 the next season!

I also never considered Holmes the MVP of that superbowl, but he did have a big play to help us win each and every game in the playoffs, and was my playoff MVP!

After watching this show, I then recalled how painful the Eagles game was. I thought we had no shot after that game, and how porous the O line was. Ben got hammered all day.

That game was just terrible to experience.

Holmes was $ down the stretch, including, obviously, the SB final drive. He also came up huge in Ravens' play off game, making the huge run after catch down the stretch. He had not had a long tenure with the Steelers, but he was very instrumental in us winning a ring, so,
I'd say that was worth a first round draft pick, for that alone. SB MVP? I would lean towards Ben or Harrison. That 14 point swing was colossal. And we all know we don't win that game without Ben.

Schedule was brutal.

That O line was the worst to win a SB

That defense deserves to be mentioned with the 85 bears and 00 ravens. They were that good.

Holmes could never be an AB.

Didn't Holmes have a point return against San Diego?

I live in Philadelphia, I didn't need a reminder. Dawkins was a monster that game.

If you don't think Tomlin can coach, if you think that team was Cowher's team, you need to watch this video, because none of the players agree with you.
