The draft is not just what your team picks but also what your opponents pick. I think the steelers came away lucky with the picks by their rivals.

Ravens drafted OT Stanley. He'll be good but i don't see him as outstanding. That Tunsil weed incident may have helped the Steelers. I think SD takes Tunsil without that. That means an impact player like Bosa, Ramsey, or even Elliott would have made it to the Ravens. As it stands, they got the least scary guy they could have gotten that high. Even Tunsil has more upside.

Browns - They grabbed Coleman who is a speed guy who needs to be taught how to run routes. We have seen that Baylor has so simplified their systems that their players have struggled in the NFL. It took Crabtree years to be good. Browns could have had a potential franchise QB at 2, or an impact defensive player like Ramsey or Bosa, or fixed their Ol with a top OT like Tunsil, or Stanley, or even taylor Decker who was available at their #15 pick. I don't even think they took the best WR. I like Doctson and Treadwell better.

Bengals - this seems to be a split between panic, cheapness, and spite. Panic because the WRs were gone. Spite because they took the guy most thought the steelers wanted, and cheapness because it seems the bengals now draft people for the purpose of letting a more expensive player go. They did it last year drafting 2 OTs who may not even start this year. Jackson is good but they are already deep there. Did they team on the field get better for this year? Maybe not.

So now thoughts turn to which players do i NOT want to see in the AFC North.

Myles Jack LB UCLA - his medical is a question but if this guy gets healthy, he is a top 5 talent. I'd rather him not play against the steelers.

Kevin Dodd DE Clemson- i really like him as a pass rusher

Christian Hackenberg QB Penn State- this would be Browns only. First, i think he will be good, but second, hasn't this kid taken enough of a beating behind the porous, sanction reduced OL at PSU? I want to see him go somewhere he can have a shot.

Noah Spence OLB eastern Kentucky - this guy is a natural pass rusher that i do not want to play against

Braxton Miller WR Ohio State - i don't care if he's a project. This guy is a natural football player who has great hands, is not scared over the middle, and runs better than most RBs in this draft when he has the ball. I will not be surprised if he becomes a top return man as well.

Who do you hope we never have to face?

I think both Henry's will have good nfl careers.

Eddie George gave us fits for years and Derrick Henry is from a similar mould could do some serious damage. Hunter Henry would add to any team and particularly the Ravens as Flacco relies so much on his tight ends.

Similar system. Lots of the spread WRs have struggled to produce in the NFL

Let's look at what the division did after the first 3 rounds

Cleveland - for having so many picks, they didn't add all that much. With so many picks, why not roll the dice on Myles Jack or Jaylon Smith in Round 2? It seemed like a natural for them. This draft so far looks a bit timid. It started with chickening out of the #2 pick. They have a lot riding on RG3 now.

1 Corey Coleman WR - speed WR but did not run much of a route tree. May be a Mike Wallace type one trick pony. I think Doctson is better

2.Emmanuel Ogbah OLB - kind of a boom or bust. I looked at him for the steelers and came away thinking he has bust potential.

3.Carl Nassib DE - I'm guessing they will play him at DE and not OLB. This guy led the nation in sacks at Penn State and i wasn't pimping him all over this board. Why? I'm not sure he's a fit in a 3-4. He'll be a solid player but i'm not sure it's his best fit.

3 Shon Coleman OT - has upside as a RT but he's a project.

3 Cody Kessler QB - this guy is a career backup. Does not have the arm strength.

Baltimore - along the same lines as Cleveland, i don't think they got a huge bang for picking so high each round. They hit 3 doubles, no home runs. Ozzy gets so much credit for strong drafts and it is mostly earned but part of that is because he does go for doubles so often.

1 Ronnie Stanley - he'll be solid but this was a play it safe pick.

2 Kamalei Correa - good player but they traded down to get him and it cost them Noah Spence.

3 Bronson Kaufusi - another good player, but Jonathan Bullard, and Adolphus Washington were still on the board and i think both have more upside.

Cincinnati - Their draft sucks. They seem to be drafting backups so that they can let starters leave and save money.

1 William Jackson CB - as i mentioned, they have Pacman, Kirkpatrick, and Dennard ahead of him on the depth chart. They don't need Jackson. You can't convince me that spite was not part of this pick.

2 Tyler Boyd WR - He's a good fit for the Cincy offense but he's no gamebreaker. They pretty much just replaced Sanu. Were you ever afraid of Sanu? They could have gotten possible impact players like Tj Green, Sean Davis, Vonn Bell and they got a WR later

3 Nick Vigil ILB - another backup player

I believe the Bengals had the Steelers in mind with the Jackson pick, but not with spiteful intention.

With the offense the Steelers possess, they probably feel they cannot have enough DB talent.

Plus, Jones is by far their best CB, and he'll be 33 this season.

The Rooneys better get ahold of their ship - they are continually getting beaten to the punch these days - I blame blabbermouth reporters.

The Bengals and Ravens have now passed the Steelers in the draft expertise dept.if you ask me.

I disagree, Atleast as far as the bungles are concerned. They have become the Lions when it comes to drafting cornerbacks. Leon Hall, Dre Kirkpatrick, Darqueze Dennard, WJIII, Josh Shaw. And if you're going to draft a player specifically so your chief rival doesn't get him, that is a model for total failure.
