With 4 weeks to go: (record-division record)
Steelers: 7-6 / 3-1
Ravens: 6-7 / 2-2
Bengals 4-9 / 3-1
(e) Browns 3-10 / 0-4
Remaining Schedules:
Steelers:
Vs Miami
@ Detroit
@ Cleveland
Vs Ravens
Ravens
@ Cinci
Vs New England
@ Green bay
@ Pittsburgh
Bengals
VS Baltimore
@ Miami
Vs Arizona
Vs Cleveland
------------
So Cinci is still sort of in it, and have the easiest schedule.... but they either need to win out, have the Steelers finish 1-3 and the Ravens 2-2. This would give them the Tiebreakers in the division.
They could lose one non divisional game, have the steelers lose out and the Ravens go 1-3.
The Ravens are the biggest threats, but have the hardest schedule.
Obviously any scenario that puts them ahead in wins works (pit 2-2 Ravens 4-0, pit 1-3 Ravens 3-1, pit 0-4 Ravens 2-2)
In the case of a tie, the Ravens still absolutely would need one of their wins to be vs the Steelers to split the first tiebreaker(H2H). For the second (Division games) they would need to beat the Steelers and Cinci and have us lose to Cleveland to win it outright.
To tie they would have to beat Pit abd Cinci abd pit beats the Browns.
If it got to common games (it would have to be tied in divisional common games)
Vs - Pit - Bal
NE- -W- / -?-
Buf- -L- / -L-
Mia- -?- / -W-
Jets- -W- / -W-
GB- -L- / -?-
Chi- -L- / -W-
Min- -W- / -W-
Det- -?- / -L-
So right now they have the advantage in non divisional common games, but both teams have two left
For this scenario to be in play, the ravens had to beat the steelers and either both teams win or both teams lose their final division game... and have the same record in the other two games..since both other games for each team factor to this, if this tiebreaker comes in play, the ravens would win it.... ( which means my *** doesnt need to calculate SOV numbers this season
)
So that brings us to the Steelers... they get the division if:
-they win out
-the Ravens lose out and cinci loses 2 more
- any combo of steelers wins+Ravens losses = 4
And Steelers wins + bengals losses =2
-the ravens losing vs the Bengals, the steelers beating the browns plus any other Steelers win and a bengals loss
- the Steelers beating Cleveland and Baltimore
Steelers: 7-6 / 3-1
Ravens: 6-7 / 2-2
Bengals 4-9 / 3-1
(e) Browns 3-10 / 0-4
