What an emotional rollercoaster for a bye week, injury wise. Going into the bye, only Antonio Brown and BJ Finney were supposed to be the only injured players working their way back to health. Then practice happened on Wednesday… Artie Burns (Knee/hyperextension), Stephon Tuitt (Elbow in a sling), and Javon Hargrave (Back) all didn’t practice […]

EXCELLENT write up and you pick ratio is superb along the way. I don't doubt Wilcox will sit but I wonder why? Is it his ability as a player or just the time of year you don't change things. Either way, keeping him on the roster says he has a future here.

Thanks again for all the work involved in this .

Thanks DIC, This goes hand in hand with the injury list I keep up on, though the reason why I love doing these, is I get to know all of the players on the team.

I'm with you though, the JJ Wilcox being benched is very odd. He started off as a split starter game 1, he even had a fine game that week. I don't know if he's dealing with a nagging injury. The only thing I have on record is his concussion from the week 1 game and missed week 2. He was right back in the mix splitting snaps week 3 and started for Mitchell week 4 against the ravens and played well if memory serves me right. Since that game, nothing. No splits, barely any defensive snaps. Really odd, especially when Mitchell missed the last cincy game. Then he was inactive for December except the last game when the Steelers rested pro bowlers.

I think the Steelers are in the thought process that since Brian Allen improved on Special Teams, they'd rather give him the snaps instead of JJ. Also Gay has been playing deep safety in the dime, allowing Davis to play a box hybrid LB/SS. In a pinch, Gay can play safety if needed. So that pulls him out. Golden stays I suppose because he knows the defense better? But I'd rather have JJ active than Golden. Hell I'd rather have Dangerfield over Golden at this point.

See Cope, my feelings are that Golden should be sitting and Wilcox over him. Just something we don't know about is going on. I'll look at the link you provided but don't lose the intent of my message. This little hobby of yours gives "strong arm chairs" like me a chance to see yet affords us the laziness of not having to look things up. THANK You

Man I can't wait for the game to get going........!!!!!!!!!
