When Nelson shoved Todman out of bounds Todman came in contact with several people.

One of those people, apparently a coach, hit the ground. When you see the replay from the wide angle you can clearly see that coach on the ground right behind Munchaks feet. I am talking inches.

When Nelson comes in at full speed It appears the coach on the ground tries too protect himself by raising his leg to stop Munchak from falling over /stepping on him.

It is quite possible that Munchak feeling the presence of the person on the ground, instinctively grabbed Nelson to keep from falling backwards and to steer both of them away from potential injury. As well as the coach on the ground.

Munchak also had papers in his hand, the hand where the hair ended up, kind of hard to grab something when there is something in your hand.

Considering Munchaks reputation, his time in the league, his HOF status. I just do not see a fine coming if what I just posted is an accurate portrayal of what happened.

I still think that Nelson pushed him away a little after Munchak held him up and that is what Munchak took exception to during the incident.

I think he grabbed the player to stop him as a courtesy. As he pulled away his hand got caught in his hair and then you know the rest. He will get fined for this and next time a player comes screaming into the sidelines instead of stopping their momentum as a courtesy coaches or other players are going to let them cannon ball into whatever stops them.

yes. and then munchak definitely pulled his dreads - he was pissed.

I shall call you Michelangelo...

I posted this scenario on PFT and they deleted it.

I posted it here for posterity purposes. I knew that ****-stirring A-Hole would delete it.

I truly believe Munchak was grabbing him because it looked like Nelson was going over to Todman to get in his face and Munchak wanted to stop him from doing so, that was my first reaction to it and I totally support Munchak in protecting his player.

I haven't seen the replay since the game but I didn't see Munchak do anything wrong.

Exactly, Nelson was walking towards Todman after he crashed into the bench. After being held up by Munchak, Nelson should have been turning around to go back to the field. He wasn't and Munchak took issue with it. It was unfortunate he got some hair in the process.

I think it's hilarious how some people are suggesting that it was a blatant hair pull by Munchak. When you watch it, Nelson's head doesn't even turn from the tug on his hair.

But whatever, the Bungholes are ******** scumbags and their fans are totally useless human garbage.

My take was totally different. In a split second, you see Munchak go from "here, let me help you to stop" to a "WTH are you doing??" look. I think for a split second, he was trying to slow him down. But you will notice, just slightly, that Nelson continues as if he's going to go after Todman. Watch it again. It's at that point that you see the look on Munchak's face change to WTH and I think he grabs him to stop Nelson from pursuing Todman.

EDIT: sorry, just saw two prior posters posted the same thing.

The only way Munchak doesn't get fined is if "reasonable doubt" applies to the review process. I'm not going to hold my breath, though. This has the feel of the NFL wanting to set an example, regardless of what actually happened and what was going through his head at the time.

I saw Munchak trying to slow him down to prevent injury (as is common in any game), and then Nelson pushes him (Munchak) away. I Agee, the expression on Munchak's face does a 180, and he is definitely surprised by Nelson's response. He did swing him back toward the sideline, but the graphing of the hair was purely incidental.

Florio is a douchebag of epic proportions... I hope he gets locked in a room with Burfict and gets eaten by that animal...

This ^^^

Munchak grabbed Nelson to stop his progress - nothing more. Nelson responded like a douche by shrugging him off, and Munchak was ticked and retaliated.

Munchak's and Porter's events were a bunch of nothing that is trying to be made into something by Bengal sympathizers because, not only does the team look bad, but so does the organization and even the city because of the events that transpired as Ben was being carted off the field. Bengal supporters have no viable position from which to debate, so they bring up Munchak and Porter as if those two events are as egregious as Burfict and Jones.
