..by NFLNetwork. I'm watching a local Pittsburgh sports show on KDKA and one of the talking heads (Andrew Fillipony) claims that he thinks Ben should have been ranked higher then AB along with Aaron Donaldson, and Gronk .
I think Ben should've been ranked higher too. AB plays better with Ben under center. Not taking anything away from AB cause he is an explosive and dynamic talent. But that offense performs so much more with Ben under center. Now the top 100 on NFL Network is voted by the players, so I see from an athletic perspective having to cover Brown, etc---factors in.
Some of that maybe Ben's fault..also alot of the media still looks at Ben as a guy who makes plays outside the pocket and refuse to see the growth he has made as a pocket passer.
98% comp. percentage, 7456yds passing, 72 TD passes, 1 int., That would at least get him in the conversation unless he throws 2 int. then there is no way he'd get MVP.
If they just put quarterbacks at the top of the list then no one would watch the show. I can't even fault his dip in production when Vick/Jones were in as those are two of the worst backups in the entire NFL. Based on last year's production, I would rank Brown ahead of Ben, but of course Ben is the most important player on the Steelers and one of the most important in the entire league.

You mean like Cam Newton, RGIII, Russell Wilson (who's game is most like BB) or whatever media darling of the season. No, he has a media problem. Might be Midgeville, might be that he was maybe a real dick, at least up until the last few years. But they just don't like him. If a guy like Tom Brady or Manning did what BB does with guys hanging all over him, the media would bust a collective nut.

Yeah the MVP regular season is kind of a bullshit prize anyhow. However, I've watched Super Bowl 43 numerous times. I've come to the conclusion if that is any other QB they are the MVP. Hands down, no question. Any QB.
Ben was the guy making the throws. Ben was the guy who held the team's **** together when AZ torched the Defense and pulled ahead late.
Ben was the guy who threw the perfect pass to Holmes the play BEFORE Holmes needed to make a miracle catch to go ahead. (Holmes was the guy who just flat out missed that ball.)
Ben was a full on stud through that game. All the talk was about Warner but Roethlisberger was the guy who showed up.
You read it here first, Ben Rothlesburgher voted MVP for the season. Wait, this just in (cute chick steelrzgirl hands the reporter a copy paper) Ben Rothlessburgher voted MVP of the SB.

Not that in any way I would have liked to have seen it. However, had the "drive" stalled and the Cardinals won, I bet Warner is still the MVP and he had a non existent first quarter, a 14 point swing no mind play at the end of the half and nothing special in the third. In my mind it should have and I suppose could have been Fitzgerald, but part of me thinks with looming retirement they would have went Warner.

That is 100% true, if any other QB did that he would've been MVP no questions asked, Ben was running for his life that last drive, no other QB could've done that behind that line.
****** list, we saw Browns stats without Ben, not good and he started bitching about not getting the ball, without AB, Ben still put 300 up on Denver.
