The Steelers have agreed in principle to trade Antonio Brown to the Oakland Raiders for a 3rd and 5th round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The Antonio Brown saga is finally nearing a close. Sources say the #Steelers are dealing AB to the #Raiders in exchange for a third round pick and a fifth […]

**** AB!!!!!! I dont think I ever disliked a player more.

I'm with you, and it takes a lot to pass liar and D^@K like Me'Von Bell on the hate scale.

If I were Art Rooney II, I'd tell Brown never to call the organization again during or after his career. Brown disgraced his team, ruined his trade value and ended up getting paid a lot more money. But I'm not Art Rooney II. At least I have a spine and a pair of balls. Brown should be indefinitely suspended for his actions not making a dime. I'd rather have my pride and dignity ( and my money back to spend on another player as the diva sits out a year ) than a 3rd and 5th round pick. 20 million in cap space in 2020 to me is more than a 3rd and 5th round pick...

I sincerely hope that Bell somehow ends up on Oakland with Bryant and Brown on a 5-11 type of team for the rest of their careers, each nose-diving in production. Birds of a feather flock together. So AB, show us how you party in Oakland and cheer Mr. Bryant up. Bryant can bring his best " stuff " to the party. The police will take care of them, and the Raiders are stuck with Gruden and his 100 million dollar contract.

I'm not mad at AB. The man looks like a damn genius now. He did what he had to do to get a new contract. It worked because the steelers are weak.

There is no possible way to defend this deal from the steelers point of view. None.

You could possibly justify this if AB was on the last year of his contract but he's not. AB had no choice but to play for the steelers.

What's that you say? He'd be a locker room cancer? I don't think so. You think he'd want to be hated by all his teammates? He would pout. He'd probably hold out of camp, but he would show up and play hard.

Even if he did act like an *******, how is that any different than it's been the last few years? Apparently it would be no different at all.

This is one of the worst deals in the history of sports.

No, that is not an overstatement. The steelers just traded away a hall of fame player IN HIS PRIME for nothing. And spare me that a 3rd is something. I'll wipe my balls with a 3rd.

I have always had faith that the steelers are a well run organization. They were smarter than other teams. They'd have a down year here or there but it would be fixed soon because they draft so well and sign good free agents.

It is clear now that the steelers are now among the bottom teams in management. Big Ben is covering up a ton of warts in this organization.

For a 3rd and 5th I would of gladly let him rot. COLBERT SHOULD BE FIRED

******* wussy of a GM

You really are ******* delusional if you think the Steelers were getting anything more for a player they had to get rid of.

Who says they had to get rid of him? Wanting to get rid of him is different than having no choice. Steelers had a choice.

You and a few delusional fans are the only people on the face of the Earth to think that the Steelers had any option but to get rid of Brown. When the owner of the team tells the world that a trade is best for everyone, you are not going to get premium compensation. Brown was never in a million years coming back to the Steelers. No matter how much of an “option” you think it was.

Now Art Rooney has enough money to produce a revival of No No Nannette off broadway. Who gets that reference?

Calling me names doesn't make you right. You seem to be caught up on explaining why the offer was low. Everybody knows why it was low after AB blew up the Buffalo deal. This issue is that the steelers would have been better off keeping AB than taking such a low trade.

Serious question. The steelers keep AB. Explain to me how it is different than the last couple years.

Let's say AB shows up acting like an *******. So now you suspend him, you fine him. You do the things you should have done last year. AB is under contract.

The Steelers were NEVER keeping AB, it was NEVER an option. The drama is gone, that was more important than any draft pick.

The Steelers continue to draft these type of players this is what they get. The let the inmates run the asylum.

Tomlin should be fired for allowing this to manifest.

Colbert should be stripped of his duties as well.

What a **** show this once great team has turned into.

Can’t wait to see who they draft and screw that up too.

They need to cut Burns, cut Dupree, and cut Boswell

And go get a few play making free agents.

Go back to a run first offense and save whatever good years Ben has left.

The Steelers can only suspend him for 4 games, then what? After what was said and done, AB was never going back to the Steelers. End of story.

And they are going to pay Dud 9M to run circles around QBs. Great work Tombert.

Then you let him sit in the corner and do his own thing.

OR, you just pay him the money yourself. I mean why not? By letting AB leave, they have essentially sent the message that their contract are meaningless. If you aren;t happy, just act like a jerk and you get your way. The steelers will trade you even if it hurts their team.

What the hell does Mike Tomlin do if he can't keep control of a whole team when there is 1 malcontent in the locker room.

Mike Tomlin needs to be fired if you think this trade had to be made because AB would blow up the locker room. Gruden isn't worried.

Obviously something needs to change to protect teams investments better. Steelers deserve some compensation for their loss.

They have the compensatory pick system for that. It rewards a team with draft oicks when they lose a big free agent. But it doesn't cover stupidly trading away a hall of fame player for peanuts. Since this is a trade, it will not factor into compensatory picks for next year.

I know, but the face AB purposely negatively influenced the outcome should give the owners some concern to change it up somehow. The process....

Not a bad haul in exchange for someone who is either going to be in jail or get the AIDS within two years.

Like he did week 17? This guys final act as a Steeler was to quit on his team mates when they needed him most. Yet you want us to believe he would show up and play hard?

Good riddance to him

Not it's not. As long as Tomlin is around, this will continue to be a joke. AB just gave all other malcontents a blueprint for how to get their way. The Steelers management (INCLUDING TOMLIN AND ******* ROONEY) once again look like *******. It's embarrassing.

Why would Gruden be worried? Brown now has his money, which, sadly, is what this ended up being all about.

If you really think Brown was just going to show up and play and not be a giant pain in th *** in 2019, you have not been paying close enough attention.

Maybe things would be different under a different/better coach, but Brown has zero respect for Tomlin, it seems.

The Steelers handled the situation terribly, as you just do not announce to the world that you have to trade the guy like Rooney basically did.

In conjunction with the the Bell situation, the Steelers look weak and incompetent as **** right now. . They let both of them bend them over the table without as much as dinner or a kiss on the neck.

I'm pissed off beyond belief at the return the Steelers got in this trade
