Most may know but the AAF is threatening shut down unless they get access to the NFL practice squad players. It's no secret the AAF wants to be a "minor league" to the NFL. The Quabble is liability of said players. The NFL and the "Player's Union" both seem to be NOT wanting to negotiate, simply put I think they are eliminating the competition before it even gets a foot-hold.

The admiration of the XFL. They are NOT looking for anything NFL. Their web site XFL.com does have some "fan" friendly news of the league. It doesn't give us "real" football fans much to chew. They talk heavily about re-imaging football but keeping it as we know it. Less rules / safety / more play and speed up of games / etc.

I for one am happy McMahn is attempting this a second time. There will be hardly a resemblence (other than the football) of his first stint. From the time this was announced and I dug deeper, finding out VINCE is serious with investing more than 100million (his OWN money) in the inaugural season, I felt this could be legitamit and long term.

For those of us who truely do love the game of football all, this may be a great break from the morphed game of football know as the NFL. I for one am looking forward to see what this will become and if it can live up to it's billing........................

REMEMBER it starts about the time the current NFL SB gets over,.................February 2020

Thus far all competitive leagues tot he NFL have failed pretty massively. The best of the best are in the NFL. If they can get player's and those guys play well then maybe they can be a valid alternate. But that said the NFL will poach their best players away when they do well and likely not so much the other way around.

None of these startup leagues will survive. If they allowed players like Mason Rudolph to play then i would watch.

The AAF was pretty entertaining overall, though once March Madness started I stopped watching the games. However, while there were some cool innovations, it felt more like a testing ground to soften the NFL and make it more gimmicky. The XFL's plan is more in line with how I hope to see the game progress.

That is just the thing, I realize the talent won't be able to match the NFL due to money constraints but the innovation might steer the NFL a little to make their product better. ONE thing about the XFL is they plan on keeping the game moving by not having as many flags / breaks in the game / etc.. Like many here I'm waiting to see the product but also am NOT expecting a repeat of the last XFL league.

That's the sticker point on why the AAF is going to be shutting down, NO access to NFL practice squad players. I hope Vince McMahn has a contingency plan for this.

These leagues all look good and sound good on paper, but they never last. The bottom line is you need people filling the stands. Some professional teams have trouble filling the stands so its highly unlikely some start up teams w/ lesser talent will fair better. I hope the XFL catches on, but I dont see it making it past 2 seasons.

The NFL could use a developmental league. There’s a lot of players that never bet their “shot” that might get discovered. Look at NFL Europe and all the QB’s that came out of that. Goodell is a dipshit.

Agree and especialy on the Goodell being a dipshit. NFL Eourope had a huge price tag with the majority of it being because of it being overseas. The XFL, should the NFL choose to work with it a little could b eco me the Minor league of the NFL. I seriously doubt the NFL wants anything to do with it as they don't want the competition and also feel if they wanted a minor league, they'd go the start up thus reaping all the $$$$$$$. Also, I don't think McMahn's ego would allow him to take second seat to the NFL. I think he has an ultimate plan and will be sticking to it. I hope the XFL succeeds but doubtful for the legnth of time it will operate.

I was all excited a bout the AAF because I was so dissatisfied with the NFL. I took me one game to realize that it is nothing more than the "NFL Lite". I had the same commentators that I hate, it had the same bullshit rules that let the refs control the outcome of the game, it aired on the ******* NFL Channel, and right off the bat, they started sucking on Tom Brady's dick. That's when I turned it off, and never looked back.

All this other stuff is ****. And will never work. Do what I do. Watch CFL until NFL starts. It's a 100 year old league with plenty of developed rivalries. The reality is most of what is going on in modern football with multiple formations. Heavy pistol formations heavy passing started in the CFL. Vince McMahon is a piece of **** who should focus on helping pro wrestlers live past 60.[SUP][/SUP]

Unless the Steelers are playing, I really don’t watch much NFL. I’m more entertained by college football.

It was just a mater of time from the get go. I think the XFL has a much better chance to last. They have been taking the time to put it all together, financing / players / coaches,...etc. YOU can even apply on their website. Here is your chance to coach for some of you and at a higher level. Time will tell but I'm hoping they succeed so as to give many players that chance to shine.

Is "He Hate Me" coming back to the XFL?

The actual original player..........HIGHLY DOUBTFUL. Just so you know, this new and improved XFL will not mirror the original start. This 2nd version will be different in many ways but it's still sketchy as not much is being released as of yet. I think it will have a BIG build up closer to opening time for them.

Last I recall he stayed in Charlotte after football. Started a private business and worked as a trainer or something for a local high school.
