If reports are correct over 6 million Syrian refugees have exited their country. Lost are they homes, jobs, some family members and happiness.

I have an elementary solution. Out of this 6 million or so people, there has to be at least 2 million able bodied men. What if we offer them a chance to take back their nation?

Train them as soldiers for 8 weeks, and pay them a privates' pay for their family solving their need for money. I'm thinking you can get over 200,000+ men to sign up. ISIS has far less men fighting. Let the Syrian's take their own nation back and fight they way this type of war needs to be fought. The USA could offer air support. medical support, rations, and enough military vehicles to defeat whatever ISIS has.

Thoughts?

I'd rather let them root Isis out. Obama won't . Syria is not a USA friend, but if the refugees win back their nation, it could turn the tides

If my family was starving or dead, my land taken, my job taken, and no other nations offering me long term solution, I'd sign up and fight if my family was provided for or if I had no family.

I'm thinking at least 1 in 3 men would. So why not let them fight?

We had a way out, but Obama's chickens "didn't want to get involved"

West 'ignored Russian offer in 2012 to have Syria's Assad step aside'

Russia proposed more than three years ago that President Bashar al-Assad could step down as part of a Syrian peace deal, according to a senior negotiator involved in back-channel discussions at the time.

The US, Britain and France were so convinced that the Syrian dictator was about to fall, they ignored the proposal.

WE pay THEM to go fight for their own country? LOL. No, no. We are going to pay them to bankrupt ours.

The ISIS problem won't be solved until the establish a country and start caring about infrastructure. Whatever they build we can destroy. When they put down roots, we can kill them. While the object is to kill some of the people and save others when you can't tell the sides apart until they pick up that black flag, we can't win.

If the Syrians are drinking alcohol and watching porn, then everyone will want to move there.

Sounds like a really good plan to introduce even more weapons and armament to an area where they will likely be quickly confiscated by ISIS.

The Muzzies have been running Afghanistan for centuries and don't seem to care about infrastructure.

Tell the Iranians that the Syrians are drinking alcohol and watching porn. Problem solved.

But the Iranians are a peaceful people who only want to develop their own country and have their people flourish.

I am all for helping them take back their own country but I would put hidden GPS trackers on all of the weapons and equipment so we know where they are. I would not give money just training weapons and support.

i'd give them all the ***** I can muster on short notice.
which, coincidentally, is the same I can manage on advanced notice.

Fast and Furious 2!-!

Take back your own country so your leader can kill you himself. Need Assad removed then it might be worth fighting for.

I thought Obama said Assad had to go? Why is he still there?

Bomma figured Assad would be gotten rid of by his own people (in fairness that was looking likely) and He wouldn't have to lift a finger.

Of course some tracking chips and spy ware will be on the aid and weapons :)

One does not surrender to ISIS.

I say let those who wish fight ISIS. Refugees lost everything. I'm telling you a good %age is ready to fight.

Give them superior weapons, intelligence, and fire power...and the ability to fight a war without being handcuffed.

The thing about these Refugees is there are a huge number of military aged men among them. I suspect they are ISIS infiltrators.

Let us tag the equipment of those who want to fight with spyware, and chips. What better way to locate and take out nest of vipers? I do think the majority of the refugees are not ISIS, and can fight back, weakening ISIS.

Way to go Bammy!

The $500 million US effort to train anti-ISIL rebels has yielded “four or five” fighters

The US military has reportedly spent $500 million to train a local rebel force to counter the Islamic State in Syria, with the Pentagon planning to recruit about 5,000 fighters. Now the top US commander in the Middle East says only “four or five” US- trained Syrian fighters are on the battlefield, casting significant doubt on the US counter-ISIL strategy.

Russian led Syrian jets pound Islamic State-held areas for second day

Syrian army jets carried out at least 25 air strikes on the Islamic State-held city of Palmyra on Friday, a group monitoring the war said, the second intense bombardment in two days of territory held by the militants.

They probably dumped more ordinance on ISIS in 2 days than the US has in 6 months.

Russia Moves Its First Tactical Fighter Jets to Base in Syria

WASHINGTON—Russia has moved its first fighter jets to a growing base in Syria, defense officials said Friday, raising new concerns Moscow is preparing to play a direct role in helping embattled President Bashar al-Assad against Islamic State militants.

Moscow’s military moves came as U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter spoke to his Russian counterpart about Russia’s deepening role in Syria, ending a long pause in high-level military ties between the two countries.

Defense officials said at least four tactical fighter jets had arrived at the rapidly expanding airfield on the Syrian coast south of Latakia. Over the past two weeks, defense officials said, Russia has dramatically stepped up development of the airfield by sending in housing for up to 2,000 people, attack helicopters, choppers to transport troops around the country, and artillery.

The arrival of the jet fighters is the most concerning development for the U.S., which regularly flies surveillance flights and airstrikes against Islamic State forces in Syria.
