$72 million QB benched

I didn't think it was a good move when they did it and told the guys I carpool with that...they were so happy to have Osweiler that this has been an amusing season..especially lately when they started acting like they never liked the signing....

and for a Pitt QB, to boot. Who would have thunk that? Actually, I liked Savage in the draft. I was hoping the Steelers would have given him a look.

We better hang onto Ben for as long as he plays.....it is a QB hungry league. Hopefully Ben plays into his early to 50's.

He sucked with Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryus Thomas why did they think he'd be better with just one wr. I think Elways said it best when he stated sometimes the deals you don't make are the best ones.

WOW, more than just us make mistakes........... NEVER cared for Brock or the donko's but the TEXANS were a little arrogant about the signing.

Salute the nation

They thought they stole that signing from the Donkeys, but the joke now be on them. I'm not saying he is a bust or sucks, but that's a lot of coin for a mediocre QB.

Fairly sure they matched the offer.

Donkeys offer 16 million a season Brock wanted more Elway said try to find more Texans offer 18 million a season. I thought 16 million was too high. I was thinking 10 tops.

Of course the Broncos don't have a qb either, but at least they're not on the hook for all that money. They'll need some of it to pay Romo next season.

I thought it was funny when I read that when they benched him, the stadium erupted in cheers. Lol, must feel like **** to be the Osweiler end of that one.

Coolie - Did you catch O'Brien's comments - or rather, non-comments - after the game about pulling Osweiler?

The press tried hard to get him to say something, anything, about how bad BO has been thjis season. But all he (O'Brien) would do was say about 20 times that "it was for the good of the team."

He's a lot like Belichick in that regard. He just talks more and will smile occasionally.

No, but they drafted Paxton lynch so they have potential. I'm sure a vet qb like romo or Cutler is high on elways priority list.

The question is whether O'Brien was on board with signing Osweiler. If it was the GM's call alone, there may be a Cowher/Donohoe type power struggle this offseason.

Houston would be crazy to let O'Brien leave. Houston is pretty much **** and BOB somehow keeps this team in the playoff hunt. Yes, part of that is the division sucks, but still, how many QBs have started for them? They lose JJ Watt and Osweiler plays like **** and they are still in position to win their division.

Do you really think they would bring Cutler back? I definitely can see Romo, but Cutler is horrible.

Clearly the Texans overvalued and overpaid Osweiler. But the NFL is a QB starved league. Very few good QB's around. The Texans reached, overpaid, and lost that gamble. At this rate they might go through as many QB's as the Browns.

I always thought Romo would be the starting QB for the Browns next year. But the Texans is a possibility.

haha, they should have given Tebow a chance : )
