So like every steelers site out there, I have no real sources, Im just logically connecting dots ... here are my top five guys who could get moved before the season starts.

1. Mason Rudolph... now this would be dependent on three things...
one, that everyone stayed healthy at qb.
Two, that they felt Howard should be qb2 ( barring an amazing preseason, they wont)
Three, another club needs a low end starter/backup by camps end

If the chance to move the guy into a place he could legit compete to start shows up, they may feel what value they can get for him is worth moving him if there is another viable qb2 on the team

2 Corliss Waitman. He had a grand run as the punter last year, and CJ is healthy, so barring injury the steelers will have a proven starter available at camps end... someone is always looking for a kicker or punter before the season starts...

3 Ben Sauls... assuming he doesnt suck... guy is getting the benefit of kicking in the same stadium he dominated in in college, and a known tough spot to kick... if he has a good offseason, the plethora of teams with kicking questions may be interested, and it would be in the steelers best interest to move him out of the division for obvious reasons...

4. Beanie Bishop.. this guy had 4 picks in limited time last year... but had some coverage hiccups... the team added a couple slot CB types that could take his place... the team also hasnt respected slot cbs in a while... so they could easily move on from the young talent... and with 4 picks as a rookie, he would get interest elsewhere.

5. A backup De/DT... adding two Dlinemen in the draft, and signing Daniel Ekuale plus getting last years pick logan lee back while only losing ogunjobi and Adams means the room is overstocked... a runstuffer like Loudermilk or vet backup like Lowery could be pushed out... or if the olb position looks really stout, a tweener DE like Leal could be deemed unnecessary.

Now none of these will bring back significant stuff... mostly conditional seventh types... but with the Draft here next year, all the capital they garner will be useful.

I am in the camp that the more likely would be Leal and Waitman or CJ if he somehow loses the camp competition.

Not sure they are ready to unload Beenie or Rudy.

Both bring much needed depth at their positions.

Sauls could be in play for the reasons mentioned and a significant need for multiple teams otherwise they could just wait for his release.

You aren't getting rid of the back up QB and ditching a possible Mike Hilton 2.0. Not happening. Anyone else they will wait for cuts.

Beanie is not good at tackling, no way close to Hilton

In my opinion, Rudy iOS going nowhere. The FO / Coach has admittedly said they could go with Rudy as a starting QB as they will not JEOPARDIZE the non-losing season vendetta.

Bennie, if traded would be an example of not coaching up a player. That mark has been left in the past so it’s possible for future as well.

DL, definately a possibility of a move. If not by mid training camp, then teams will wait till cut day and get for free.

Leal put on some weight this offseason and shouldn't be the tweener he was. That experiment of necessity seems to be over. He will have to sink or swim as a down lineman.

I hate tomlin's love of 'Swiss Army knife' guys. Get an expert and keep him in his expertise.

lol you missed missed one apparently.

I’m not trading Rudy, period! He’s a valuable backup and a pretty good spot starter as proven in 2023.
I do agree with Slash that Leal would be a candidate to be traded or cut.

Fully agree. let them hone their true and one skill to be the best.

To much time spent for "just in case scenarios"

Imagine TJ practicing for CB or slot db....................

So add all the Tes and Hbacks not named Smith to the potential trade lists... though its likely we are gonna keep a bunch and use tons of 2 and 3 te sets instead of having a true 2 wr

What is your prediction on the starting FS?

Muth won’t be going anywhere. I think they like Washington’s blocking and improved receiving .

I think there are a few options... I think Elliott will be moved to FS and they will use slot cbs and Ilbs as the strong safety a lot... i am hoping them moving on from mincah has something to do with how the younger S's looked in minicamp...

i also think they could bring in Simmons or Blackmon if they didnt sign already... the thing is that austin D isnt really using the FS as much more than a deep pylon... so its not exactly a valued position anymore
