The Steelers unfortunately reached the 2018 offseason sooner than they would have hoped, but they have already made some moves since Sunday’s loss to Jacksonville. Cornerback Mike Hilton signed a one-year extension and former OC Todd Haley has since been replaced by QB Coach Randy Fichtner. There are still many key areas that would be […]

Good read and definately need all 5 points addressed. As for the "fire the coach/ need a new coach" that isn't going to happen this year, accept it and learn to live with it. The Rooney's are juggling a torch lit on one end and I hope they get this under control. Coach Cool Shades needs. A end of season talk that wakes him the **** up and then some.

Salute the nation

Disagree. The Five Key Areas To Address should be:
1. Fire Keith Butler.
2. Fire John Mitchell.
3. Fire Joey Porter.
4. Fire Jerry Olsavsky.
5. Fire Carnell Lake And His Knee.

I almost think we should switch to a 4-3. Tuitt Heyward, Hargrave and Alualu who would be the backers? Watt and....

Maturity and proper coaching are about the two problems holding these guys back

And a quality nose tackle and DBs that are fast enough to play man and are big enough to slow up the WRs within the 5 yard chuck zone. Just enough to disrupt the progression.

And a prodigy qb to start getting ready.

And a Bettis II workhorse who can run the ball effectively to bring the safetys up and get a 4th and a foot in the playoffs.

And a new bike for Ju Ju

And that has to come down hard from Art ll to Tomlin with the topic being I do not and will not accept an undisciplined, unprepared, unfocused team. There will be no me guys, but you will promote the team concept. No exceptions for any players.
Art ll has got to remove this aura of comfort that Tomlin seems to enjoy. He’s got to be held accountable or you’ll see a repeat next year of what we just witnessed.

I think so. Why they made no changes is beyond head scratching.

Especially a new bike for JuJu. Gotta keep those quads strong to break tackles

All great points and I totally agree but this stuff has been going on for years...I've lost track of all the seasons where I'd feel more confident going up against teams where we were underdogs or even (except when playing the Pats then I'd chalk it up as a loss and hope for the best) than the bottom feeders. Those games should have been sleepers but nine times out of ten we'd either lose or they came down to the wire. Then at the end of the season when we had a low playoff seed (or missed the playoffs) we look back at those games we should have won.... Its past time to clean house but its not going to happen..

As fans we can ***** and moan about the obvious but its of no use. It falls on deaf ears... Maybe we need some divine inspiration:

Yeah but Carnell's finally healthy now.

Fire Butler
Fire Tomlin
Find the closest thing you can to replace Shazier
Release and replace Mitchell
Put a QB sneak into the playbook

1. Fire Tomlin. # enough already
2. Trade Bell to Cleveland for their 1st or 4th pick ( for Barkely )
3. Use free agency to bring in one stud for the defense, and find a quality 3rd tackle.
4. Draft defense. ILB. S, NT early
5. Set new standards for the players and coaches to follow

#1 should be gut defensive staff, but we know that's not happening because it seems tomlin controls the D.

#1 pick up a FA MLB, and draft another. Bince is not the answer and shazier will not be back. Behind those guys we are weak.
#2 pick up or draft a safety. We need to get rid of Mitchell. Poor attitude, poor play, and too many mental mistakes.
#3 resolve bell situation. I would either tag him or just say cya. If we let him walk we could get 2 good pieces on defense or get another top tier RB and still fill a hole on D.
#4 Replace dupree. He does not do alot of things right. Could be coaching, laziness, or just lack of football IQ.
#5 get another corner. Burns was out of position alot, but still think he has potential. A better safety on his side will help, but we need a backup plan.
