44-34...were up 10. Wasn't surprised they went for it...they weren't stopping us all day. Woulda been happy with a FG there too but for once the coaching staff went for the kill and Ben delivered to Heath.

what a difference a week makes...

the team responded with a few plays....but solidified my point exactly about Haley. reverse option pass on the 6 yard line??? It worked....but for Christ sakes. WTF is Haley thinking? Pound that ****** with Bell and Blount for 3 to 4 plays. The play worked but another perfect example of our coaching staffs ignorance.

any guess who posted this last week???

That was ballsy. When I saw Ben drop back to pass, I was screaming "NO! RUN THAT BALL!" When he completed the TD pass, I was speechless. Literally couldn't breathe. Awesome.

Tomlin may not have been the goat on that fourth but the one earlier he showed his brain was not working. I'm happy we went for it and even if we did not make it we played to win not played to not lose. When the Colts called time out with less than 2 minutes in game, we should have told the receivers go to the end zone we are throwing there. May I say I hate hate hate the officials and their flag happy approach.

The "point of emphasis" for this year has become a "point of overemphasis".

Took the words out of my mouth. I did not wNt a FG attempt, play to win... It is a mindset. Don't worry about what could go wrong, it will when you worry about it. Play to win every damn game for 60 minutes and we may turn a corner with this transitioning team.

What is your point moron? Oh that's right you dont have one. If you still think the reverse option pass was a good call on the 5 yard line there's no point in arguing. You cant argue with stupid. They went for the kill and it worked, but like Steelerlyn stated I was still hoping for a run there. The initial play was to go to the flat, Ben made the play, as he did all day. Now if the idiot staff in Tampa would have passed on 3rd and 5 instead of running we might be 6-2.

ARE you breathing now? LOL AWESOME it was, very exciting to watch and enjoy. They did sell the run as needed. For once a play action that actually worked and wasn't smelled out.

Salute the nation

These high risk/high reward plays are going to give me a heart attack. Glad they're two for two

It was a great, aggressive call by the coaching staff. Could have played it safe and made the Colts score two TDs, but they went for the kill and it paid off. Great job!

I didnt applaud ****. I said I would have been happy with the FG however they went for the kill and it worked. Reverse option on 1st and goal from the 5 yard line isnt gutsy...its moronic, like you.

playcalling is relative to the situation. The colts are a great offense, so no lead is safe against them. You have to stay aggressive. Not to mention, Ben was on fire. Letting Ben throw on 4th and 1 was a no brainer in those circumstances.

Now if you look at the Houston game, the steeler offense was not playing all that well and Houston was terrible after their initial drive or two. It would not have made sense to play as aggressively

saying that the coaching staff "went for the kill" is applauding the play call....********

If he had kicked a FG instead of going for it on that 4th and a foot I would have lost it. Finally he made a correct in-game decision. Still in the negative though.

Thrilled with the win. I hope this team learned that to win you have to play tough, physical football. They sure did today/tonight. Ben was superlative. Think about it, only 4 NFL quaterbacks have won 100 games in their first 150 starts and Ben is part of the group. My wife pointed out that the Steelers have 50% of the 4 QBs! (Ben R and Terry B) Incredible night but the true tough guys are next week.

We need to take it to Baltimore.

officiating was rough this weekend, especially on Saturday.

Oh, I can think of a big mistake that was made Saturday that I was pretty ok with. ;) However, if it had happened the other way, I'd have been pissed. Penn State played a helluva game. My hat's off to them.

Yeah, Coach Tomlin is a dummy...

You have become nothing more than a troll. Do you realize that? You've given up on football talk and just post this exact same thing multiple times a day. It's pretty much the only only thing you do now.

That's right: most of your activity is now doing the cheerleader version of what you claim to hate others doing.

I bet he was happy with Tomlin after the Bucs,Clowns and Ravens losses, where Tomlin coached down to his true level.

4 & 1 call

This was a pivotal point in the game and I thought it deserved its own thread:

Kudos to Tomlin for having the chutzpah to make the call.

Kudos to Haley for a perfectly designed play that fooled most of us watching at the bar.

Kudos to Ben and Miller for the execution on a perfect throw.

I agree- if we kick a FG right there, this game would have been within reach for the Colts.
