The Rumors are going to get hot and heavy.
There will be three areas to watch:

A.) the WR rumor of the day.. which has been the case for a couple years now

B.) if tge D struggles vs GB, a defensive add. There are some DTs and DBs available we could try to swap in if a particular player is thought to be the issue

C. Us trading Freiermuth, Rudolph, or Highsmith... also if we add a DT or DB, we may send one out as well..

( note i really discourage trading any of those three barring a very high return... OLB is a key position for our D and depth there is way too important... the other two play positions there really wont be a market for right now

All three could be dealt at the draft for higher returns.
There isnt a great reason to move them right now. None are free agents after the season...

Amen.

Methinks A A Ron is developing his chemistry with the WRs already here - bringing anyone (other than George) makes no sense as the "train has left the station"...

Muth made is seasonal appearance against the Bungals - so I doubt they move him now.

I don;t think they should make any short term moves, meaning, don't trade for somebody to try to win a SB this year. Steelers are still in rebuild mode. If you do make a trade, it better be for a player who can be a long term starter.

I can't see trading a 1st round pick for anything.

I would be OK with trading a 2 if they could get a guy who can start for years. I mentioned Jameson Williams in the WR thread. Detroit still isn't really using him. If they could add a guy like that, I'd be interested because they'll need to draft WR anyway and he's a better prospect than any in this upcoming draft that would be available in rd 2.

Muth’s fuller value will be durring the draft, highly doubt he is moved before trade deadline.

Muth / Rudolf / 2rnd pick for helmet swinger Garrett (could happen)

I agree. They need to bring in a guy. I do like Meyers opposite Metcalf a lot. I don’t think he would command Metcalf money. I would also be good with Williams, you’ll need to pay Olave WR1 money. If Rodgers is going to be around next year, bring him in a guy. Make the offense more versatile and equip it to put points on the board. The days of keeping it close and playing in the mud football with this defense is not happening. Also, teams will shut down the ‘big package’ sooner or later and with the Colts coming up, that may be sooner.

I agree @madinsomniac . We should be looking to dump Highsmith, and Pat is probably a good fit for teams. I say we use Highsmith for a DT and then I hope we DO NOT get another DB or WR on this team.

Bullseye!!!

I haven’t got to the Roll Tide thread yet, but I agree with both you and @tapeANaspirin2it.

I know it will never happen but throw this name as another Berm candidate too - Jerry Jeudy. Send the Browns a 3rd and know you’ve got another very good route runner and pass catcher for the next 5 years...

If they trade for even more defense, and not because of season ending injury, Rooney should ask Tomlin why the highest paid defense by $25M is not enough to work with.

He won’t, but he should.

I'm not convinced that it's a lack of player talent.

If you look at player for player talent, I would put us around the 14 -12 range (possible 11).

We are currently ranked 31st in the NFL for defense.

I’d say coaching has GREAt deal to do with it.
