Here we go....

Reasons to be hopeful here:
The Rats won the last game but literally had every single thing go in their favor

I mean a team that was horrible at penalties this season... who has had six games in double digit penalties, including week 18 (the most out of all playoff teams at least) got called for just two 5 yard penalties... season lows for both penalties and yardage.

The turnover battle bounced their way... not only did we lose a fumble on the 4 yard line while driving for an early lead... they fumbled three times and recovered all 3... and we threw a stupid pick six immediately after picking them off...

Finally, we were shorthanded by a ton of key players... besides receiver George Pickens,
safety DeShon Elliott, quarterback Justin Fields, cornerback Donte Jackson, defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi were all unavailable... Trice was still on IR, plus Joey porter jr missed a bunch of time in the game...

The temp will be 32... that should not affect either team much, but could lead both wr corps to have drops

This game should be winnable. Assuming we dont sleepwalk through the first half as we tend to do in the playoffs these days

The refs for this game are gonna be a conundrum..
this crew drastically favors the home team... the home team wins 81% of their games, but they also liberally call holding, and the Ravens are 4th worse in offensive holding, and 2nd worse in defensive holding...

The ravens blocking scheme and pass defense plays on the boarder with that stuff, a closely called game wont favor them..

But if its called one sided they will be able to get away with a lot of that stuff and open up long runs and disrupt routes

Was in Baltimore yesterday for meetings. Purple Friday. these ******* are already talking about next weeks game. Nothiing would make me happier than a big fat Raven loss.

Thank you for this. I was going to make a post very similar.

We all know that they won the last game, but it wasn't 'the beat down the media' made it to be because, for those that know the team and know football - we lost that game not just because of 'mistakes' - we lost because of injuries at the worst possible time. Add the dimension of playing 3 games in 11 days---I still believe that we have Lamar's number and even though the game is in Baltimore; the Steelers will beat him again tonight.

The only concern, and I really do mean the ONLY CONCERN is Dan Moore Jr. This cat needs a serious dose of Spaghetti-O's or something to step his game up big time!!!

Not going to lie, it's nerve racking, the waiting; but I remain confident...

So Porter and Jones get at least two apiece and TJ is mugged all game with no calls.

Get ready to witness a lot of this.

Well, that’s one big factor that weighs in the Steelers favor that the Ravens, their coach and fans are overlooking the Steelers.
That’s reminiscent of what happened in that home playoff loss to the Blake Bortles led Jaguars.
It will help that they have no Zay Flowers, we have Pickens this time who I hope can keep his head in the game, we have both CBs and safety this time.
Hopefully Tomlin doesn’t come out with another ridiculous offensive snail ball game plan like he did last week. Russ has to try and not be the hero and play smart and utilize his weapons. Mike Williams is one of them Russ so use him.
Defense needs to be aggressive and hurry Lamar into making mistakes. He will, rattles easy. Don’t let Derrick Henry control the tempo.
ST, be ready! Do your part like you did early in the season.

times have changed

And boy have they.
Under Noll and Cowher don’t recall any mental head cases. We’ve had 3 under Mike as far as I can tell , all WR’s.
What a coincidence. We’ve stopped winning Super Bowls.

Merriweather was somewhat of a head case

Anderson is off IR and on the roster will be good to see another Olineman available. Agnew is called up as well he has an interesting return history. Maybe he is a wild card in the equation tonight we’ll see.

Tomlin needs to coach his *** off tonight. Hopefully they have a wide open gameplan on offense. gotta score points fast. cannot get behind.
have to be aggressive on both sides of the ball. Show looks the Ravens are not used to.

Playoff Football is upon us!!!

Agreed. I'd use most of the first Bengal game game plan...

We can’t win this game . We look lost. We are the far interior team. Only chance we have is to win on guts.

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!???

That I did not know.
A head case in that it was detrimental to the team?

I remember DT Ernie “Arrowhead” Holmes being somewhat of a head case.
He fired shots at a police helicopter, but was a fierce competitor and a dedicated teammate.

When I was active in the Steel City Mafia, I had a LOT of interaction with Mike M. He was a great guy. I still have his cell phone. When I call, he answers "Hugh, my brother!" Great guy, IMO.

Edit - In elementary school, my son did a paper on him. He took the interview, and sent pics for the report. My boy got an A on it.
