As requested, here are links to ALL my player film notes and comments and a link to my excel spreadsheet of about 235 prospects.

When I started he was a pretty low ranked edge defender and Draft Breakdown doesn't have any tape on him.

I just tried looking for him in the Collins tape and he appears to be used as a rotational OLB/DE by Saban. Looked a bit stiff and limited in his pass rush ability. Kind of just ran to a gap.

He also leaves a lot to be desired athletically. 57 KEI is very low. And 4.53/7.56 for his change of direction drills is not good either.

He's got nice size and has experience with his hand in/out of the dirt, but the Steelers have been staying away from Alabama players a lot and rumors are Saban and his staff push the guys hard and many have exorbitant wear and tear (i.e. the doctors reports on Alabama players isn't all that great).

I'm kind of surprised Dixon has moved up to a 4-5 round prospect according to Draft Scout (that's a bump of about 1-2 rounds since February). Maybe they are hearing something, but I don't think Dixon is all that great a prospect. Won't help you in special teams much (limited open field tackler) and probably a very low ceiling due to his athletic shortcomings.

Just one man's opinion remember.

That's why I include both Draft Scout's ranking and Sports Illustrated.

Both of those publications do make late adjustments to their final "archived" lists before the draft happens I think. And I have been know to tweek a guy up or down on the last few days as well.
