Both teams (obviously) had to play the #1 seed in the divisional round
Both teams (not so obviously) had to play at Denver and against Peyton Manning
Both teams lost the services of a backup RB who played a key role in winning regular season games (Deuce and DWill)
Both teams lost Ben Roethlisberger for 4 games during the regular season
Both teams won a playoff game with the opposing teams players and fans whining about the referees.
