No, Schobert isn't as good as we'd hoped. But he does lead the team with 84 tackles, or 31 more than Bush. Plus he has 5 passes defended to Bush's 1. Yes, Devin Bush has defended ONE pass this entire season.

To say that Schobert hasn't been much better than Bush is ridiculous. Schobert has been average. Bush sucks.
This is a great point about Schobert. He's struggled in coverage--though had that one deflection that was nearly picked--but he at least makes tackles. The ILBs should be feasting in this defense and it's stunning how Bush can be invisible for an entire game.

I was going to say that just thought the GM didn't hold the power to accomplish it.
Well I don't want the job then. Tell ARII nevermind.

Bush is starting to make me wonder who the better LB was Bush or Jarvis...never thought I’d say that.
I remember wanting eric Reid over Jarvis. But Bush? I thought he would be the next great Steeler linebacker. can a player turn it around in his 4th year?

At first is was rather stunning but now-a-days is kind of the norm and I'm not talking everybody knows your name cheers Norm either.

Sometimes, I mean Durpee did. I see nothing here that inspires confidence and everything that reminds me of Worilds and Jones.

durpee showed something once he had a TJ on the other side
The Steelers had a good system for Dupree, they just misused him early in his career. At first they played both TJ and Dupree on the wrong sides. Once they flipped them and used them as pass rushers rather than wasting their talents dropping into coverage both began to put up good numbers. The problem for Dupree is no other team will employ a scheme that fit him as well as the Steelers and he likely will never match the production he had here. Maybe after the Titans cut him the Steelers can bring him back for a price he's actually worth ;)

Bush seemed like a great pick, but a top 10 MLB in this D should be a game changer. Bush is not even "just a guy" he is a liability. I think 90% of it is attitude and work ethic. I dont know if he can turn it around or not as I am not even sure he really likes to play. Couple that with his questionable tweets and I just dont have much hope he will turn it around. This past game showed that we can find other guys out there and plug them in. I dont know why we are not more willing to give other guys a shot.

I think it is injury related. A little bit of the burst isn't back 100 percent to worrying about if the repair will hold up. That might work it's way out and then again it might not. For me a wait and see. One thing for sure is they should be looking at what is behind him closely to see if anyone is capable of more reps.

o_O

If this guy just ran his motor as much as his mouth, maybe he wouldn't be getting the flack he's getting. TJ and Cam especially would like to have a word.

1. If Bush thinks he's the same player and it's just reflected on the stat sheet, well then...
2. Just take some accountability. A lot of those guys aren't playing well. It doesn't matter what the rest are doing, Bush needs to do his jobs and worry about that. This feels the same as Claypool blaming the defender for knocking the ball out of his hand rather than taking accountability not handing the ball to the official and lining up for the snap.

Bud Dupree knows he isn't playing well. He said he came back from his knee too early, which is an excuse but the Titans wrote the cheque. At least you can believe he will put in the work and be ready next season. WTF are you gonna get out of a guy who thinks he is doing well. Jesus he should be humiliated to watch film.

Oh and Watt, Ben, Heyward, DJ, Harris, and Boz are all playing well up to their potential. I could name at least another 7 guys who are playing close or at.

Guy is as stupid as he is lazy. Typical kind of guy Tomlin loves and keeps trotting out there even though he sucks and gives no effort

There never was anything wrong with Bud's work ethic. He always worked hard and was w team player on and off the field of play. Definately not a social media negative.

We just couldn't afford to keep him. He most certainly will work hard to return and make the knee right.

If he became available and was healthy, I'd take a close look.

Thing about Uncle Jarvis was that he had big SEC stats and kinda crapped out in the Combine. He lacked sufficient athleticism. But that is on the Steelers. I think he gave his all. He just wasn't good enough. I feel the same about Edmunds. He plays hard. Bush to me looks like he is half assing it. He seems to find the lead block and Latch on to him.

I agree and if he would have turned on the production a year earlier they might have signed him to a reasonable second starters contract but at the point they lost control of tge contract he was priced out of their ability to pay him.

Ok if you haven't already seen the Devin Bush press conference you should really watch it. It is on Steelers.com. the questions were basically ****** savage. There was no Mike Tomlin tip toe. They went at him hard and every question was the quality of his play. I'm really surprised he was able to keep his composure. Obviously, the comment about his team mates play doesn't look good optically. Neither does the fact that he doesn't seem to know that they play Tennessee next. But I'd really like to see the Pittsburgh media ask questions like that to Tomlin.

I thought he was decent until he hurt his knee.
