That’s the story in the Indianapolis media. I said it was Bush league whenSteeler fans complained about penalties in our loss to the Bengals, and will say the same same thing about the Colts. If you’re a playoff contender, you can’t get shellacked by a 2-12 team and blame one or two questionable calls. In the same way, you can’t get out scored 21-3 in the second half and blame the officials. Blaming the refs is for losers. Just saying.

blaming refs is Bush league. Yes, there are games in history were refs have decided a game (see NO's PI screwing a couple years back), but by and large teams gotta execute regardless of the refs. I coached a lot of baseball and football over the years and told a lot of kids and parents to forget the umps/refs...focus on what you can actually control and that is your own performance.

From what I've gathered, they feel the Steelers DBs were getting away with more than the Colts DBs. Honestly, there were couple plays where I was expecting a flag to be thrown against the Steelers and there wasn't.

Lol in that video, DJ is being held the whole way down the field. Not exactly the best example to show...

There is a ton of complaining about the refs on this board as well. Some of the PIs could have gone either way. I thought they might call it at the end of the game when Hilton and our defender collided. Hilton appeared to run into him, but it was close. I also thought the one DJ got was pretty iffy. i think PI is the worst officiated penalty in the league. When it was reviewable it was a disaster, but I feel like the booth officials were saying screw you to the league. I definitely think they need to come up with a better solution or have it be auto reviewed.

EDIT: just for clarification I am talking about the one where the defender clipped DJs? foot. The ball looked like it was tipped for one, and even if not still think it was an iffy call

i do not know if it was challengeable or if you would even want to challege it, but DJ was down inbounds ant that gave INDY 3 more plays and about 35 additional seconds.

Which was-

BULLSHiT

So **** off and schedule a vacation to the wonderful autonomous zone of CHAZ in beautiful downtown Seattle, you will be in good company. Whiny *******.

it sure looked like his elbow was down inbounds

Yea, DJ's elbow was inbounds. The only reason I wasn't pissed was I couldn't understand the play and bewildered how you set all your receivers on the short side of the field and go there, JuJu's block be dammed. The holding all night by Indy was what really got me going.

The PI calls went our way for the most part, Ebron was definitely held on a potential touchdown, I think I'm going to lose some sleep tonight over the Indy Star article.

Dionte Johnson was in the field and the clock stopped. And it was interference but they kept the game going with a PI.

The NFL is a better game when they let the DBs play a little physical. The biggest non-call was the choke hold on Watt, which would have been a sack and a third and long. Instead the Colts got a first down and later scored a TD. Beyond this there was nothing outrageous. I'll admit when we get blatantly bad calls in our favor too.

Yep. I was wondering if Tomlin was able to challenge the call. We had those 3 TO's. Probably would have not been overturned anyways.

I wonder if they were as furious about their RT getting away with holding TJ and putting him in a headlock every other snap? Probably not.

This is happening every week. Hell. I wish our guys would start using the chokehold blocking technique. I guess Shaun doesn't teach that.

Yes---we were fortunate....very.

Sometimes this league makes you sit back and say......Hmmmm?

Especially how that one "played" out yesterday...

So this technique is legal? Serious question.

How does an offensive lineman, who is behind the defender, with his forearm wrapped around the neck of said defender and pulling him backwards not get called on this?
I admit to not being a student of the game like many here are, but if placing your hands outside the numbers is holding how can this not be?

That's ridiculous that never gets called, happens several times a game to him.

Generally speaking - it is so frustrating to watch a game (any game) and the announcers defer to the 'expert official' for their take. He explains what he sees on the review - which all fans can see too. Then the on field refs make the opposite call. Happens ALL the time. Then the announcers simply say. hmm - they must have seen something we didn't.....BS.

Reading the NFL rule book to see what constitutes holding. Came across this. It's the only possible explanation for them not calling holding, unless they decided they just ain't gonna call holding.

Penalty: For holding by the offense: Loss of 10 yards.
Blocking Notes:

1) When a defensive player is held by an offensive player during the following situations, Offensive Holding will not be called:

(i) if, during a defensive charge, a defensive player uses a “rip” technique that puts an offensive player in a position that would normally be holding.

Is TJ executing a rip move? If he is, it's not holding.
