Analytics: Exploring Aggressiveness On Third Down Passing Situations

If they can't or won't man a team, then they forfeit. It's as simple as that this late in the season.

Anyone notice that I believe the **** were the earliest team to have more than one COVID positive test earlier in the year and now, when teams play them (including us), they end up with someone testing positive?

I also wonder if the Ratbirds are going to get fined for bad COVID protocol. I thought teams were supposed to wear masks on the sidelines now. They showed Lamar late in their game sitting on the bench with a mask around his neck. He didn't cover his mouth or nose with it.

can't blame this one on the ****. The Rats had their own Covid Savior in Humphries breathing on their balls.
**** 'em

Being reported they have atleast 10 players testing positive.

You say that, until it’s the Steelers. NFL definitely doesn’t want to get into “forfeits.” Too many other implications.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NFL MOVE IT TO SUNDAY Prime Time this is to dangerous we cant take shady staff that allowed Humprey to play last time affect multiple players

Reports say this is coaches, support staff and players. NFL should drop the hammer on the Covidbirds.

As it stands, all those testing positive will miss at least 2 games since they play on two consecutive Thursday's.

cancel the game...

Id rather play them at full strength..

no asterisks beside our undefeated record this year..

Unless they can't man a team with the players they have on the active roster plus bringing up PS players, then you can look at rescheduling or something else. The season is getting too late to really do much rescheduling. Teams were originally supposed to use their PS to make sure games weren't cancelled or rescheduled but the NFL threw that out the window right off the bat by rescheduling games when one or two players got the China Virus.

If they move it back to Sunday, they could at least give players so far negative who are on covid watch a chance to play. Switch it with Greenbay Chicago. Both are night prime time games covered by NBC. I realize it's a quick shuffle for the Packers and Bears but they're already preparing for one another, short travel distance, attendance not a big thing.

This makes the most sense. however, the contact should put a boatload of players out. Since they have as yet not been named, I would assume they are not going to be available Sunday a syou need 5 days to clear. Worst case scenario for Steelers would be Stains, Ravens last two weeks, but I think that is what will happen.

Could it be the Steeler organization is handling the COVID better because they are Democratic at the top?

I'd say that's a reach. The majority of the organizations are handling it pretty well including Jerra down in Dallas and we know where he falls.

this is on the individual players/staff - not the organization.
they know what they are to do and not do. they know they need to practice social distancing, masks, etc. the NFL has reiterated that time and again.

look at the NBA, NHL and MLB. The did bubbles, but the players also kept to themselves.
Maybe the NFL needs to look into bubbles?

and outlaw the wr bubble screen

They have extended practice squads for a reason. If anything, move it to Sunday. The Steelers have been screwed once by getting an early bye because of the ****. If the Steelers are able to suit up and play, the Ravens will have to suck it up and play with the ones that can.

Yeah because only democrats are taking it seriously. What about all of those "mostly" peaceful protests going on? In the end, there are probably just as many democrats as republicans that aren't taking it serious.

They're going to fine the organization for the players and staffs fuckery. This is equivalent to a complaint in a text thread. One complaint and everyone suffers the consequences of ArkNip.

One thing is for certain. Teams (especially playoff contenders) will take it more seriously going forward - maybe even implementing a bubble. Problem for the Steelers is we have a few games against opponents who have no incentive to do anything different. Washington Football Team, I’m looking at you.
