I'd say those three countries are doing exactly what we should be doing, right, Tibs?

Must be difficult going through life being so willfully ignorant. Or, you're purposefully spreading lies. I'd probably choose the second option, though it's neck and neck at this stage, given your history of posts on this board.

Perhaps, but just keep doing exactly as you're told and I'm sure everything will be just fine. Especially starting on Nov. 4th.

I'm doing what I think is best based on science. If you're going to compare wearing a piece of fabric in public to prevent spreading a contagious disease with the Holocaust you really have no credibility to speak about anything.

Except for the minor detail the US has been curving upwards significantly over the past two months, roughly right from the point the EU started flattening their curve.

This isn't a race amongst countries, where someone wins and someone else loses. Due to broad mitigation measures by the public, ie wearing masks and social distancing, the EU's been able to bring the cases down. In certain parts of the US, cases are skyrocketing. You can simply say it's due to more testing, which may be a part of it. But the spikes in CA, FL, TX seem severe.

In the EU, there seems to be another upturn, worrying signs a 2nd wave may be upon us. This is particularly true in countries to the East like Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, etc. The economic impact is already significant, throughout continental Europe. The German economy basically drives most of it, and there are worrying signs all over. This is a total fubar situation, and I'm afraid the worse is yet to come.

Let's hope this thing gets under control, and the curve in the US starts flattening again, as it did early in the spring. I wish everyone, on both sides of the Atlantic, nothing but the best. And I hope the economy, schools and life in general can get back to normal as soon as possible.

LOL. You're embarrassing.

I'm not wallowing in fear. I'm trying to slow the spread of a contagious illness. Is it because I fear death? No, it's because contagious illnesses are not fun, especially if a lot of people get them at once, whether they kill you, or just put you in the ICU, or just put you in the hospital, or just knock you flat on your *** for a couple of weeks. Anybody who doesn't understand that is wallowing in stupidity.

France has a 20% positive rate right now. Some flattening. Didn't you post something earlier about a bunch of other countries who are also having outbreaks?

Like I said, a rolling wave of peaks and valleys. Get used to it no matter where you live. Try to slow the spread but don't sit there declaring victory thinking this won't happen to you.

steeltime, one of your charts is nearly 3 months old and thus irrelevant now, the other one says on the top that CFR is not a good measure of mortality related to covid

So find and post a better one.

Califronia, Florida and Texas will soon pass New York in positive cases

California, with the most severe lockdown, earlier on, than any other state? So it didn't work but we should do it again.

Liberals ... not just stupid, but arrogantly stupid about their lack of knowledge.

Huh? Who the **** is declaring victory? It won't happen to me? I've written multiple times how significantly this has affected my life and businesses. Nobody's declaring victory. It is an umitigated disaster that has impacted millions of lives and the economy around the globe.

FFS, those are all libtard propaganda sources and are speculation op eds. Get a clue.

Tibs doesn't know a military grade psychological operations and communist attack when he sees one. In the carnie or pro wrestling business, these people are called "marks." In Communist theory, these people are "useful idiots." He thinks what he's watching is all above board as presented for public consumption.

He's a mark for articles like that.

you're obviously not reading the links or highlights that are posted here - or any of the numerous posts by people here saying they're witnessing people wearing masks.

about the only thing to go by is the number of tests and number of deaths. there are numerous documented cases of virus testing facilities submitting erroneous results and some fabrication going on. Yet we're supposed to take every case as gospel and pristine.

You're also not seeing that an extremely large percentage of people here ARE wearing masks - even if they don't want to. either to be compliant or to not get fined.

What you're overlooking is the mere fact that the virus is being spread during the riots and protests you so seal-clappingly approve of. The test results are also not coming back quickly - despite being incorrect. Or do you subscribe to the belief that ALL those people at riots and protests are 100% compliant in masks, social distancing and PPE?

So to say it's a **** show would be correct.

But it's not due to citizens NOT doing their part.

Do you have the cliff notes? The first two minutes were nothing but blather.

I wear a mask because it’s just really no big ******* deal to do it, and there’s really little else I can do to avoid spreading the disease beyond staying in my house all day every day which I’m not going to do. Common sense tells me that fewer respiratory droplets in the air that aren’t able to spread as far and wide with a contagious disease going around has a lot of potential upside and no downside. If you have any evidence that what I said is not true let me know. If it’s another bullshit video about the size of virus particles or some such,
don’t bother wasting my time.

This applies for any illness but no one ever does.
1. Stay home when I’ll
2. Follow proper hand hygiene
3. Know what you touch, when you touch it, and the last time you clean your hands.

I don’t wear a mask (unless goods and services will be denied) because my choice. I’m not sick, I’m not shedding a virus, I don’t ******* want to. My choice. I’ll agree that a mask can’t “limit” some spread. But what kind? Medical, cloth, respirator? All various levels of protection / prevention. How many people are tossing their masks after going out, or washing that cloth thing. I’m sure that’s limited. How about touching said masks. Don and doff, are they doing it correctly and then washing their hands after wards because I’m sure the touched the front.

Victory over the virus. The smug declarations of How Bad America Is Doing. Eventually restrictions get relaxed everywhere, either by law or human nature. This phenomenon may have happened first in the US but it will spread everywhere eventually bringing more outbreaks with it.

The whole point of the mask is that people can spread the virus before they become symptomatic. You may be shedding virus and not know it. If we all knew when we were contagious there would be no need for them.

Yes, it's your choice to possibly spread a virus you don't know you have to other people. I choose not to do that. Because it's really not a big deal. And yeah, I wash them every time or I use disposable ones in a pinch.
