Super Bowl LIV Chiefs vs 49ers

The Chiefs deserved that win. Mahomes struggled for most of 3 quarters. I thought it might have been because of the big shots (by the helmet) he took on his throwing arm and his ribs but he never complained or showed that he was injured. But, he led them to 2 TD's in the 4th quarter to take the lead and their D held on for the victory. I had said it would come down to KC's D and it did. They shut down the 49ers when they had to and held them to 2 FG's when they easily could have gotten TD's. Great win! Glad the 49ers didn't tie us with 6 rings.
 
Shakira is still hot. J.Lo is a big not. Whatever fruitcake designed her outfit should be shot.
 
Game was over if Jimmy G hits an open Sanders for that TD, that makes it 27-10 in the 4th, but he overthrew him.

Didnt the overthrow to sanders happen after the Chiefs had made it 20-17 or is my old man brain kicking in...just looked the score was actually 24-20 Chiefs when the overthrow happened with around 1:40 on the clock...dont think that play would have sealed a thing...Mahomes with the ball with 3 TO left 1:40 on the clock I still would have liked their odds of pulling it out

Thing is putting her on after Shakira was the biggest fail. For her age and movement constrictions.putting her on after Shakira killing it was a set up for failure. In entertainment you build up to the main event. As Shakira should have been the main event.

If she went first perhaps the perception doesn't step-down ladder as bad....

Most women feels the halftime show was inappropriate, as those same women should be thanking them for reeping some benefits last night from their man.

Not one of those women were complaining last year when that douche from Maroon 5 was dancing around in skinny jeans and no shirt.

The outfit JLo came out with was atrocious! Hell when she turned around to show her ***, I thought she was wearing maxi pad. they had a little strip of silver on each side of the garmet that looked like the wings and that she was ragging it! I looked at my wife and asked her, Is Jlo on the rag? It looked like it at first, lol. She barely even sang and I knew none of her songs. Shakira still has it!
 
Halftime entertainment aside a couple takeaways:
1. The Niners play calling was abysmal to close out the game.
2. If you want to win the SB you don't need the best QB in the league, but you need a top five guy and the best doesn't hurt. The Steelers best consider that fact.

26-42 286 yds 2 TD passes 1 TD run, 2 INTS
21-30 256 yds 1 TD 1 Int 93 passer rating
One of those is a SB MVP stat line the other is Roethlisberger in XLIII. hmmmm?

Ben didn't win because people hated him. Mahomes won because the league wants running QBs to do well. He didn't play well at all.

Absolutely correct. I don't know if its running QB's or its just that he is well liked.
 
Prop bet for Mahomes rushing yardage was.....29.5....Mahomes got 29...yikes.
 
In any big game against an equal opponent, you can't just hope they are going to melt away. You want to make sure you are in it especially in the first half, but you gotta try to win it, not just not lose it.

yep, and he had it until the kneel downs at the end. I read something that said that prop was one of the heaviest bet and a huge majority had the over. That’s what you call a bad beat.

i hear a lot of people saying that but I strongly disagree. Mahomes was under tons of pressure all game. He missed on some throws because the pressure was getting to him and he was rushing his throws. Williams had a good game but the 49ers were giving the chiefs the underneath stuff.

Mahomes made so many plays with his feet on runs and on scrambles where he bought time to make big plays. He created the opportunities for Williams.


BTW. Add Williams to this list of guys from Miami that Adam Gase couldn’t use properly. Gase had Tannehill, Kenyan Drake, Damian Williams, Jarvis Landry, Devante Parker, and now Lev Bell.

I think he deserves it, as all he does is win. Three come-from-behind wins in this post-season is impressive. Stats wise, wasn't pretty, but a 4th quarter, double digit comeback in the SB deserves the hype. Plus, he seems like a good, nice guy, which doesn't hurt his place right now. I don't know or haven't heard of too many people that hate on him. That can change quickly, though. People can be petty for no reason.

Better, he will have a new contract that will handcuff the chiefs' cap for the rest of his career

Mahomes didn't play well for 3 quarters but they stayed in it, especially with his rushing TD. Then, he came to life and led them to the win and the deserved MVP. Their D stepped up as well and shut the 49ers down. Mahomes is going to be a great one. He rushes when he needs to but always looks to pass. They can also roll him out like Ben did early in his career. And, that works. I love that style of QB. If a QB can't roll out or run when needed (even with a couple designed runs per game), then you're team is missing a lot of potential for its offense. Let's hope Lamar doesn't learn how to be more like Mahomes. If he keeps running like he is, he won't last.

Could say the exact same for Ben against the Cardinals....shame he didn't get the MVP that game.
