No JuJu at practice today so not looking like he will play. Still have no clue how he hurt his knee so bad.
 
This game is now our Super Bowl for the season. If we let them beat us again, they take move ahead of us for playoff contention and have 2 Bengals games coming up, so they could very easily get the sixth spot. That said, I don’t think we have enough playmakers on offense sadly and this will be the season’s end.

I fear an unleashing of hell and a December swoon.

Our highest point total for any given game this far this season is 27......and that was most likely padded by the D.

If they let Ducks fly, let them take what the defense allows the season might be saved, if they become the offense of the check down kings and the NO QB sneaks EVER, well I just dont see offenses ranked 30th lasting very long in the playoffs if they ever make it there.

I am tired of playing like *******.

We should win this game. Benching Rudolph will give the offense life.

Fitch didn’t ruin Rudy. Rudy was never any good and did that to himself.

What I hope to see is more if Whyte running the ball and more targets for Cain.

We need to start fast, if any interceptions etc in early while starting fast, still it will be ok. we can have the time to catch up, in 2nd half. It will surprise Browns and our D will kill them.

If we start conservatively it is very hard and catch up later. Any small mistake will cost us heavy.

Come on guys crush the Browns. They purposely hit our WRs early in the game. We no need to play cheap but we should teach the lesson once again.

My prediction 30 us cheap shots 17.

I disagree Coach.

When Duck came is for an inured Rudy in the B-More game he threw the ball downfield. After a weeks prep vs the LA Chargers Fitch had him playing like a ***** and checking down just like Rudy.

Fortunately the D put us in a position to win early on and Steeler Nation West was in the house.

Well if you run the ball well as the Steelers did be the chargers and have the defense score you should limit risk. Even if Ben was paying he would not be airing it out in that game.

The browns are going to be daring us to pass and flooding the check down routes . I say burn them if the sit on the short routes.

Hodges didn’t get to where he was by checking down. That isn’t his stele. I think the guys like playing for him. I say no to handcuffs . Let him play. He’s actually pretty smart about throwing the ball away.

I really hope Whyte gets 10 plus carries and Cain gets 4-5 targets. These guys are playmakers. This offense needs speed.

Ever notice that we had better offenses under OC's that Ben didn't like than we did under OC's who were Ben's buddies?
 
How is this a should win when we are still playing without JuJu, all the other injuries and we are starting our 3rd string QB? We shouldn't be winning at all. But, this is a must win if we want to make the playoffs and go one and done. We must beat the Clowns, Cardinal and Jets (playing much better with Darnold back) as the Rats (unless they play none of their starters) and the Bills will destroy us. Even then, I'm not sure 9-7 will get it done. Since I never pick against the Steelers, here goes:

Steelers with revenge on their minds: 24 (TD from the D or special teams)
Dirty ******* Clowns: 20
 
Steelers (5 FGs and a TD) 22
Clowns (2 TDs and a FG) 17

Defense wins the game. Duck completes a few passes downfield despite handcuffs. Villanueva fares a little better than recent games. Snell takes the RB job, if he gets any carries.

Hard to know what team shows up each week. The Steelers struggled to move the ball against the bengals last week. Regardless of the QB, the steelers should have been able to run at will against their bad run defense. The steelers mostly struggled.

Duck had 1 big play and then not much else. Can Duck do better with a week of 1st team reps? I hope so. JuJu is not playing and apparently Fichtner is forgot that it is legal to throw to the TE.

The browns have some moronic chip on their shoulder over their psycho teammate Miles Garrett. They desperately want to "intimidate" the steelers. I think they will burn up a lot of energy on emotion.

The Steeler defense played really well last time vs the browns. OBJ scored on a busted coverage and not much else. If the steeler defense keeps this low scoring, the browns will start pressing, because they aren't just trying to win a game, they are trying to make a statement. I think that will be too much for this team.

Brown's Secondary is rated 16th and Hodges starting. So what are the coaches going to do? Play it safe for way to long or come out and throw it down field for a fast 60 yards? I just can't make a call on this game. To many people will have their 60 IQ brains working to come up with a master plan. Tomlin to busy working looking over his new Redskins contract for next year.
