Last week of the regular season. A few games already played and a few left with big playoff significance.

OK, so Penn State vs Rutgers is a **** game but the masses demand it’s discussion so as usual, I am at the will of America and start there.

Rutgers at 10 Penn State 3:30 BTN
this will be a blowout no matter which QB plays for Penn State. It appears it will be the backup Levis but PSU can win this by double digits just handing off every play. The only news here is that former 5 star recruit WR Justin Shorter has already entered his name in the transfer portal and is no longer listed on the roster. Seems he may have dropped his Last pass for Penn State. I hope he ends up staying. He has loads of talent and could still develop.

The other news is Penn State’s bowl and it is looking good for the Rose. If Ohio State beat Michigan, they are going to the playoff. Minnesota and Wisconsin play for the Big 10 West spot in the Big Champ game next week. The winner will have 2 or 3 losses after they get beat by Ohio State next week. Meaning Penn State seems to be in line for the Rose.

1 Ohio State at 13 Michigan 12:00 Fox
Ohio State hung 62 on Michigan last year. They may not score that many this year but I still think they will dominate. Michigan is about loading the box and playing man coverage. They can’t do that against OSU or they will get shredded again. If they go away from that then they are playing an unfamiliar style and that may not end well either.

As I mentioned last week, being the 1 seed is a huge deal this year because it means avoiding Clemson in the first round. Ohio State may try to bury Michigan. I know it’s a rivalry and anything can happen but I just don’t see Michigan pulling off the upset.

3 Clemson at South Carolina 12:00 ESPN
nothing to see here. Apparently losing to South Carolina doesn’t count against the resume so even if that somehow happens I’m sure Clemson would still make the playoff

5 Alabama at 15 Auburn 3:30 CBS
How is Bama minus Tua? This could be Bama’s only ranked win of the season. They will not play in the SEC champ game. This committee couldn’t possibly put a 1 loss non conference champion in ahead of other 1 loss conference champs, could they? If Bama wins this game convincingly, they’ll sure as hell try.

12 Wisconsin at 8 Minnesota 3:30 ABC
the winner goes to the Big 10 Champ game vs Ohio State next week. Minn only has 1 loss. They will go to the playoff if they somehow beat Wisc and OSU in back to back weeks. Seems unlikely. They have a good shot vs Wisky but I can’t see them beating OSU. If they can play OSU tight, maybe they get chosen for the Rose over PSU.

Texas A&M at 2 LSU 7:00. ESPN
LSU’s defense is a bit suspect, but TAM doesn’t have the offense to go score for score.

7 Oklahoma at 21 Oklahoma State 8:00 Fox
oklahoma still clinging to playoff hopes. May need a convincing win here coupled with a win vs Baylor in the Big 12 champ. Oregon’s loss last week could open the door for Oklahoma. Utah is still ranked ahead but with Oregon dropping in polls, Oklahoma could pull ahead with back to back ranked wins.

Why in the hell is OSU v Michigan on at noon? Fox just sucks at sports, man.

Seems like it’s always a noon game. I don’t like any early games college or pro, I got too much **** to do on the weekends.

Wasn’t the PSU/OSU game at noon last week also? Why doesn’t the Big Ten flex those big games to the evening? Doesn’t make sense...heck with history.

Yes it was. I missed it because of the wife working me like a dog. Had it been on at 7:30 or even 3:30 I would have seen most of it. I caught little bits of the game between taskings.

What the hell happened to Nebraska? I remember as a kid in the 70’s always having elite teams....80’s and 90’s too. The Nebraska/Oklahoma game was always one of the top 5 games of the year.

I love the early start. It means I don't have to miss other games.

I live near Nebraska. The fan base here is huge. Lots of non-watchers-if-football lately.

This is about it. CBS has had some solid games on at 3:30 in recent weeks, but the night games on ABC the last couple of weeks have sucked. There has to be a big time matchup on in the night slot.

OSU vs Michigan is traditionally at noon on the last weekend. Both stupid. Playing that game late in the season is dumb. If they were both unbeaten, it would probably mean the loser is eliminated from the playoff. Play the game a few weeks earlier and the loser has time to rise back up in the rankings.

As for Fox. They are pushing the noon game as their big game of the week.

I am not so sure about Ohio St. thrashing Michigan. I'll be rootin' for Maize and Blue today.

I also don't understand your comment about Clemson possibly losing to S. Carolina and still maintaining a playoff spot - no way; they'd be OUT.

STFU w/ your hate on Bama - we've played several ranked teams this year. Go look it up. If Bama smashes Auburn and they'll be under consideration - WRITE IT DOWN.

Texas A&M will get SMOKED by LSU.

Go SEC!!!

I don’t know if Texas A&M and LSU counts as several.

We can see who the refs like today in the OSU game. Two blatant PIs on OSU but they won't call them. Michigan will be going against OSU and the refs today.
