Props to Tomlin for benching Rudolph

I like the kid, but it needed to be done. We need to figure out who our backup is next year.
 
Well, Tomlin helped to ruin Mason, took away any and all confidence by play calls and a line that did not stand up to the rush. Throw in also receiving core that cannot get separation or come back to help the QB failure is for sure. Throw in his talk to Mason this week about being calm and not allow players to get in his head as Cleveland. Bring in the Duck receiver across the middle TD,

From the sounds of his press conference, I think Duck is the QB going forward.
 
The remainder of the season will be a healthy competition between Hodges and Rudolph which hopefully will produce positive results. We still need to win 4 of 5 to make the playoffs.

Stupid talk. We played a bad team and we are a bad team who just happen to be a bit better than all the other bad teams. Injuries are all over our offense.
 
Yeah I think that’s exactly what Tomlin does, go back to Mason. The change needed to be made to try and spark the offense,but in no way do I think the Steelers shelve Mason for Duck.

Duck won this game. Yes.
, he should start next week. With a week of practice as the starter he could be even better next week.

I don’t think Duck is a long term answer after Ben but he is better than Rudolph.

Seriously? Tomlin does not call plays on offense and he stuck with him until it was blatantly obvious a change was needed. Him being knocked unconscious for 5 minutes and then what happened last week did way more than anything Tomlin did.

One thing is for sure. We have to find a way to beat Cleveland next week. They beat us again and they’re likely the wild card with 2 games coming up against the Bengals, Arizona and Baltimore. I see them winning all of those.

Rudolph is at best a back up in this league. Anyone that can’t tell that is clueless. He has no pocket presence and has a very average arm at best. Add that to having no ability to create plays when the pocket breaks down.
He’s just not gonna be a star in this league. Our best bet is clearly starting the Duck and seeing if we can make a playoff run. Have a little fun and then pray Ben comes back healthy next year to help us become Super Bowl contenders again.
But please Stop all this debate on weather Mason is a possible star in this league. He has absolutely no chance to be a top notch NFL QB. Just stop

I don't agree with the short leash. If Rudolph starts, then, yes, he should have a short leash as he has had a lot of playing time and practice with the 1''s. If its Duck, you need to let him play and see what he can do, even if we lose. You don't want to be a team like the Clowns and play musical QB's, which only ruins them in the process. If you switch to Duck, then Duck plays at least the next few games to see what he has.
 
The Steelers are going 6-10 unless they do a better job preparing either one of these QBs and putting them in a better position to win.
