After the Rams game, I had a pretty good feeling that we could have a shot of making it into the playoffs. One game later, I think we have zero chance. Does anyone see any hope of winning 4 or 5 of the last 6 with this offense? This season has been exceptionally brutal to watch as a fan. For the first time in years, I don't think Tomlin was even the culprit. Just ****** luck... I see us struggling to beat even the Bungles sadly.

They have to win out to have a chance imo - and we still have to play The ratbirds again and I see no way we win that one

You know given all the turnover, adversity, injuries, I'm more than pleased with the 5 games they've won so far. To know they also could have won a few of the games that they hadn't. This isn't the HOF QB with pro bowl WR and pro bowl RB under performing.

I like where the defense is trending. Going to need the offseason aquisitions to get the offense to catch up. The fact that over the halfway point that the Steelers would have been a 6th seed is remarkable. All the talk about young stud Coach McVay and all of his innovation too an L when they came to Heinz field. And the Browns won their super bowl having beat both the Steelers and Ravens this season.

While the season isn't over I think the Steelers are just stuck between a rock and a hard place because they are lacking in quality NFL talent at RB and WR and a QB truly in development.

My hope is at least 3 more wins cannot think about playoffs.

What's left of this team cannot compete with playoff caliber teams. Too many missing pieces. Each week, the offense puts more and more pressure on the defense to carry the team. We need to evaluate the young talent to see what we have. We especially need to figure out who our backup QB is next year.

Forget the playoffs. What we have is a very patchwork offense with zero identity, with an often injured RB who has developed an issue of holding on to the ball. Then you add the passing game with no legit no.1 and multiple guys trying to get to the no. 2.
Inconsistent play from TE’s now factor in the very green QB who isn’t allowed to make mistakes. Now add to this Boneheaded Coach Tomlin and Fitchner and you’re really hosed.
Talk about setting up a young, green QB to fail.
The improved play of the defense is what’s keeping then n games.
Instead of signing these jabronies like we’ve been, they should have brought in CJ Anderson, Adai, Dez, Pryor, Eli and signed one RB and two of those receivers.Geez at least for the remainder of the season. Clueless Tomlin.

We do have the ratbirds the last game of the season so they may be resting players.... we will need all the help we can get.

You want to watch a truly underwhelming QB, go take a look at Carson Wentz. No 1 pick and Big Ben wannabe this guy is very ordinary and he has multiple games experience and a better supporting cast.
Just sayin’!

1993 all over again.. good d with lots of upside
Very limited Offense
Im guessing We will squeak in in the last week at like 9-7, then lose in some absurd fashion
Next year we will do a lot better assuming that either Ben is back and ok or that the offense is just better due to experience all the way around

Realistically, before Ben and everyone else on offense got hurt this was at best a 10-6 team with Tomlin's usual first-round playoff exit. With Ben out, the OL aging, and second-string and practice squad players at RB and WR we're looking at 8-8 at best but Tomlin keeps his "never a losing record" streak intact. Hopefully that's good enough for the Redskins to make an offer that the Steelers will take.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, with all the injuries, I've never seen this as a playoff team, they simply aren't.

Hoping for wins against the Bengals and Jets, maybe the Browns, but does anyone see more than 8 wins?

I watch this year for entertainment, and not expectations.

Any road game is going to most likely be a loss. Even the defense seems to struggle some on the road and the offense is non existent.

Raiders and bills are pretty much locked in at the WC spots. Both have very easy schedules and are quality teams.

I think Bengals will beat us next week. It’s going to be ugly.

Carson didn’t look much better than Mason today.

Carson, coincidentally, was also missing his top 2 receivers and starting running back.

I hope I’m wrong, but I’m getting a premonition that the Cleveland game was the beginning of another late season collapse. 7-9 or 8-8.

Watching a QB like Brandon Allen on Broncos, who is a UDFA.. just makes me realize how terrible Rudolph is. If we had Brandon Allen we'd probably be 6-4 at the least.

I said it last week.... this team can't win without TOs from the defense. They wouldn't have 2 wins without TOs. Eventually teams are going to figure that out and just come right at the defense and protect the ball. There is no reason to fear the Steeler offense. Just play everything straight up. That's what the clowns did. Nothing fancy. Some short passes. A few shots down the field. Just don't turn it over.

Once again Mason has absolutely no help at RB or Receiver or more importantly OC. It is very hard to judge his ability at this time other than he isn't comfortable yet moving in the pocket and the only thing that would give another young QB a leg up over MR in this current state of offense is mobility.

It's only 50% of a team. That won't cut it. The offense is bad. All teams really need to do is stack the line. You then stop our terrible run game and our passing game at the same time. If Mason can't push that ball downfield more they will never back off. Our OL certainly hasn't shown it can run block at a high level to back them off either.

I gave up thinking they could ever routinely be creative offensively. The defense is definitely going in the right direction. That is the only thing that's be fun to watch this season.

I was a pretty big defender of Rudolph, but last game was not really defensible. He missed easy throws, threw bad INTs, no pocket awareness, etc etc...He did not have help with WRs dropping the ball and what not, but it was a pretty terrible QB display. The team will not win another game if he plays like that again.

Or the game he plays like that but yeah he was very inaccurate. Hopefully he can shake it off and quickly return to "ok" performances and not 4 INT type games.

We have no chance if JuJu and Diontae can't go against the Bungholes.. Rudolph will have absolutely no one to throw to. Washington and Holton will be our top 2 WR's. That ain't gonna work. We will lose to the Bungholes unless we have JuJu and preferably Diontae back as well. That will end any hopes we have. And, then, we play Cleveland again at home. There will be multiple ejections in the game as I would expect our D to not go after their heads like Cleveland did but they will go after the knees of Baker, OBJ, Chubb and Hunt. With how they targetted our WR's and QB for an entire game, I just can't see us not retaliating, no matter what Tomlin might say to them.
