The Browns are getting hype for the first time since their AFC Championship game 1986 and 1987.

Are they that good? I'm going to say no they are not, and although Mayfield is a decent QB, he's not one of the 12 best in football.

once again, such awesome, detailed analysis

To help coolie out, I'll list what I view are the top 12 QB's in no particular order

Mahones
Brady
Brees
Roethlisberger
Wilson
Rivers
Watson
Wentz
Rodgers
Ryan
Trubisky
Goff

I don't think Mayfield is in this group. Right now I'd place him behind Newton, Foles, and Cousins.

Mayfield is decent at worst, and certainly better than any QB they have had since forever. I think OBJ will help him quite a bit. Biggest problem the Browns have is their o-line, and a ****** o-line can cripple any QB, so we may not find out how truly good or bad the guy is even this year. Based on last year alone, I’d say he’s top 15, and I’d take him over Trubisky, Ryan and maybe Goff.

I'm more curious as to why you chose top 12.

Most people would ask top 5 or top 10. Maybe top 16 since there are 32 teams.

PUT them in what you think are top on down, in order.

that is not analysis. That is a list of QBs

You answered your own question. Top 12, haven't watched enough of his playing and if ONLY a second half of a season at slightly above average play merits top 12, then I guess so. MY opinion is NO he is NOT top 12.

I think Mayfield is good, but he also has a year of tape on him. The league will be carefully analyzing his tendencies and now, in his sophomore year he'll need to prove he can overcome himself.

As posted above, OBJ can be nothing but a help, as long as things are going well. But if he doesn't get his numbers, if he isn't getting the attempts he thinks he warrants, he could easily become a problem in a locker room that supposedly is trying to become more cohesive and professional. He's a risk just like Brown. If all goes welll, he'll be a huge asset. If not - Dayum! Get your popcorn and hide your kicker nets.

I personally thought the best thing Mayfield brought to the Browns was his "Tebow" factor. The ability to inspire the guys around him to ball out. Sure, he's good, but good isn't good enough in the NFL. Last year, when it mattered most the Browns fell short. I will wait to crown Mayfield and the Brownies until they show they can consistently compete, even win.

And we care about this why? I do not give a **** about the Browns and their over hyped team and midget QB.
Let them put together a damn win streaks and their little turd QB actually play with consistency before you start these rankings.

He's a ******* moron?

Coach, Mayfield will be the first QB to play in 3-Super Bowls in one season so if that doesn't get him ranked #1 then I'd say these ranking are for the birds and don't really mean anything...........NoTa

BM. Appropriate initials for a **** stains starting QB.

Coach is going to blank stare this post for about 3 minutes.

LOL...I bet it may have caused a couple others to scratch their heads too.

Hey Coach, BM = Bowel Movement.

Mayfield reminds me of Doug Flutie. On the shorter side, runs around a lot, will win you some games but will never win you a Championship.
