College Football Week 1 Discussion

Rough day for SEC so far. Started with Memphis beating Ole Miss, then South Car loses to North Car and Tenn just lost to Georgia State.

Oregon vs Auburn should be a good one tonight. Auburn starting a true freshman QB and Oregon starting a Heisman candidate at QB. Oregon has been trying to get more physical the last few years. We'll see. Auburn favored by 3.5

Really only one game that was a surprise. Memphis was favored and Ole Miss played them tougher than expected. Tenn is a mess and I was shocked they were favored so much in that game. USC and NC was a toss up. The ACC hasn't looked that good either. The Big Ten hasn't either except for their top teams. Purdue got beat by a freshman QB from Nevada. Northwestern is getting beat by Stanford.

Still a few games to play.

SEC is going to have another loss when Vanderbilt loses tonight.

/ Tape

Watching Pitt-Virginia. Pitt's defense is aggressive, but their offense is awful.

And every close call is going Virginia's way.

Mid Tenn up 7-3 early on Michigan. Mich will probably end up winning big but it would be sweet to see Harbaugh lose

My dawgs Oline is looking good. Vandy’s defense looks like swiss cheese

Oregon really taking it to Auburn early. Should be up 14-0. But a dropped TD and missed FG could be a turning point. Huge momentum swing

Oregon was dominating this game until that missed FG. Lets see if Auburn can get some momentum going

Oregon should be up huge. Blew too many chances. Feels like Auburn has weathered the initial storm and this will be close when it could have been a blowout

Feels like Auburn will win this after Oregon burns up all this early energy and didn’t get enough points out of it

Unbelievable how many big chances Oregon is blowing. Auburn should be psyched if they can go to the half down 14-6. It should probably be 28-0. Instead they are right in this one. Although at some point they will have to actually stop Oregon without counting on them shooting themselves in the foot

Big INT for Oregon. Maybe they have enough time before half to drive the ball down to the 1 and fumble it away again

Auburn is starting a true freshman at QB. Oregon is stacked with experienced players. They are also ranked higher than Auburn. So they should win.

Oregon game feels like the Pats Falcons SB from a few years ago. Falcons dominate most of the game but kept making mistakes, let Pats stay in the game, then got worn down and Pats win in the end.

Virginia +2 on turnovers plus a blocked punt. Pitt is Pitt tonight.

Thanks. I had to add it to the channel lineup. Just caught the last minute. At least Pitt's uniforms looked good. Wonder if they are switching back to them or just wearing them for the opener.

So Oregon spends back to back time outs after an injury stoppage and gets stuff on 4th and short. How many ways can they find to give this game away?

Auburn comes back and wins it with 9 seconds left. Not sure why they didn't go for 2 but it didn't matter.

Another Oregon classic meltdown. That loss could be a killer for the Pac 12 chances at a playoff spot.

I think it was because Oregon then could have had the penalty assessed on the 2 pt try instead of the kickoff.

Auburn pulled it off.
The SEC doesn’t look too strong as of week 1.
Bama, UGA, Auburn, LSU and perhaps Florida will be the class of the conference.

Tennessee losing to GA southern? Wtf?
Mizzou losing to Wyoming? Wtf?!

Florida? They looked bad against Miami. They better get a QB if they wanna go anywhere this year.
