Democrat Ayanna Pressley: No More ‘Black Faces That Don’t Want to Be a Black Voice’
An all-out racially charged fight within the House Democratic Caucus escalated when an African American freshman lawmaker said the party doesn’t need “any more black faces that don’t want to be a black voice.”
Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) made those comments during a speech at the liberal Netroots Nation conference where she, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) appeared after a week-long clash with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her allies.
“This is the time to shake that table. . . . We don’t need any more brown faces that don’t want to be a brown voice,” Pressley said, seemingly taking a stab at the Congressional Black Caucus, which is allied with Pelosi. “We don’t need any more black faces that don’t want to be a black voice.”

I'm not outraged. I think at this point when Trump goes on a twitter rant, most people just roll their eyes.
Is any of it going to change how I vote? No.
I hate to say this but......it makes my point that progress is an elusive goal in Washington.

ICE deportation raids underway in New York City, 'number of jurisdictions,' official says
A nationwide crackdown to apprehend thousands of illegal immigrants across the country began late Saturday in the nation's largest city and several other places, according to an official.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) resumed its previously announced plan to apprehend thousands of illegal immigrants who've been given orders to leave the country, targeting people in at least 10 cities. The ICE raids began late Saturday and into the early morning hours on Sunday in "a number of jurisdictions," not just New York City, a senior administration official confirmed.
Acting ICE Director Matt Albence said while he couldn't speak to anything specifically from an operational perspective, the overarching concern when the agency conducts any sort of enforcement operation is "the safety and security of both our officers that are conducting the operation as well as the public."
“We are doing targeted enforcement actions against specific individuals who have had their day in immigration court and have been ordered to be removed by an immigration judge”
The operation will target people with final deportation orders on 10 major court dockets, including Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and Miami. Albence said that doesn't mean arrests will be limited to certain areas. Authorities will go where their investigations lead, even if it's five states away from where the case is filed.

DHS and DOJ Announce New Asylum Rules to Cut Out Rampant Fraud
The Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice issued new asylum rules on Monday in hopes of further curbing fraud and abuse fueling the current border crisis.
New rules will bar Central Americans and other “asylum” migrants from seeking asylum in the United States after failing to do so in the first available country as they travel north through Mexico.
“Ultimately, today's action will reduce the overwhelming burdens on our domestic system caused by asylum-seekers failing to seek urgent protection in the first available country, economic migrants lacking a legitimate fear of persecution, and the transnational criminal organizations, traffickers, and smugglers exploiting our system for profits,” he continued.
The new rules will officially go into effect tomorrow.

No, I don't. Reading that article, I can surmise with reasonable certainty that the author also likely believes that since I am white, I am racist. I mean that's pretty much the drum beat these days, isn't it? I support Donald Trump to the extent that he isn't one of the looney left fucktards that party seems to produce these days. I don't love the guy, but many of his policies are on point for moving this country forward. Enforcing the law shouldn't be a partisan issue.
Look, I don't agree with what Trump said about these women. He looks like an idiot because three of them were born in America. The fourth married her brother to be here. They were doing a fine job, all on their own, of showing their true colors to the American people. They were showing America what they are, who they are really for and what is in their heart. Trump has allowed the Democrats to take the narrative again. He ****** up. Foolish to tweet **** like that, regardless of whether you feel that way or not.
But what I will say is this. That ******* southern border needs to be sealed. It is not racist to say that. People showing up in droves, falsely claiming asylum or just plain sneaking in. They are working our system against us, and like idiots, we take that as an opportunity to play politics rather than fix the problem. Worst part is, members of the Democrat caucus are providing advice on how to avoid raids, sneak in the country, to break our laws. You stand in the House Chamber and yell "Nobody is above the law" yet apparently illegal immigrants and Democrat politicians are. You're ok with all of that?
And the four women Trump insulted are at the tip of the spear when it comes to undermining our laws. It is a fact, not up for debate, point blank, period. The United States is not Central America's piggy bank. We do not have unlimited money and resources to prop up foreign invaders while our own homeless problems on the streets of our cities is growing daily, exacerbated by the madness perpetrated by the communists on the left. Don't like a law? That's fine. Don't undermine it. Write a new law and put it through congress, you know, like our system is supposed to work.
What I do know is that I have no fear of black or brown people. I treat fellow humans the way I want to be treated. I take care of my family, go to work, mind my damn business. I want the laws enforced. But according to the author, since I am in support of some of Trumps policies, I am racist. Since I am white, I am racist. You ******** should look at yourselves in the mirror. I bet you'd find a lot more racists.

And regarding the border and it needing to be sealed, what also seems to be becoming an issue is the spread of infectious diseases such as measles etc. There was some speculation that some Congolese immigrants were quarantined because of the possibility of being infected with Ebola. We live near the border in San Diego and my dad just spent 4 days in the ICU with Septicemia from a Gram-Negative Bacteria Infection that seemingly came out of nowhere (and my dad has a strong constitution, he rarely gets sick). Now I'm not saying Illegal Immigration is what caused this (because there is zero evidence to support it) but we sure as hell don't want to take unnecessary chances, as would anybody else. I want this problem fixed. If that makes me a racist, so ******* be it.
