1 Did the Steelers miss the boat with not having Sens brought back over towing the pine with Burns? To me Burns looks like a done, and they know Sens performed ok when forced into action. My thought is he would be the better depth option at CB.

2 Why didn't the Steelers bring in depth at FS. Instead of thinking perhaps Sutton can move over, why not like a guy like Boston who is still available?

Haden, Nelson as clear #1 and 2. Then you have young talent on Layne and Sutton + Artic Burns crossing fingers he recovers his confidence. We don't need Sensabaugh in my opinion

Layne will take time to adjust or not? Are you ok with Burns until then say one of the corners goes down for a few games? For me last year the quick answer was no.

Well, I want to know why Presidente beer is more potent than Heineken??? I can only drink 3 before I need to sit down...

I love Presidente, but I don't know of potnency over Heine. I lived on Presidente when I was in the Dominican Repubilc earlier this year. Had them deliver it by the case to my room. Would hit about 10-15 a day. I guess my Blood Alcohol Content kept me alive while I was there...

Cope, I use to be a VERY avid Home Brew dude. I've toured many places including the Church there in Pittsburgh (the head brew-master himself spent 2+hrs with me). I made this recipee that took 9 days from brew to drink approx, 8.6-9.2% abv . I took first place in a competition with it and brewed over 43 - 5gal batches. I named it in honor of our beloved STEELERS, it was named "Blitzburgh (batch number 1-2-3-4-.....) ". AWESOME it was.

So here is my question What ft pounds of torque do I need on my 2003 Ford F150 rear tire lug nut.

thanks

Love the Church, and I'm a huge Craft Brew nerd. Used to love when they had the brick oven and did Pereogi Pizza. Was a Steeler staple every time I visited. Potato, onions, cheese, and garlic butter sauce covered in cheddar cheese. AMAZING!!

Screw figuring out the foot pound and get yourself a nice pice of pipe, about 2-3 feet in length, to give you the extra torque on the fulcrum point. See, I know how to use the F word too!

I guess I'm ok with Cam Sutton in his natural spot, not at nickel back

My first question: What effect will AB's departure have on Juju's production? He is now the #1 guy, that's good, but is the guy-to-guard, and that's bad. Me? I say his numbers decline due to the increased coverage but more so due to ...

Second question: Do the Steelers look to run the ball a lot more than last season? They ran just 32.6% of the time in 2018, 31st out of 32 teams and just a tick above Green Bay. That number needs to be in the 40% range to balance out the offense, and make the running threat a weapon that improves the passing game. The increased running lowers JuJu's production, but that is not a problem. Points and winning are the issue.

Here's the thing about JuJu that I liked over AB. He can play anywhere. He's the WR you want on the field when you run the ball (because he's our best blocker), and he's the WR you want on the field running patterns, because he works hard, uses his size, and is combative in the air. He's got a bigger catch radius, and more diversity. His targets will go up tremendously, because, he will be 'the guy'. He will barely come off the field this year, as in I'm expecting over 95% offensive snaps (barring injury). That alone will make his numbers go up. I expect more receptions, yards, and TDs this season from JuJu and another pro bowl nod. I also see our supporting cast be more diverse than years past, making it harder to double or bracket him. Plus we will move him around more since both Dionte's and Moncreif are position flexible.

2) I think the Steelers runnning numbers will improve from last year, but the only thing more important than running the ball more, is balance. Running is used to eat the clock when you have leads (we didn't have a ton of them last year). Also used to pick up short yardage conversions. I think we committed to the run before Connor's injury, and jot away from it after it, but I expect balance this season, and a group of young backups who are experienced with this O will really help the running attack shine, both as runners and receivers.

I just came across the following video:
https://www.wral.com/4-quick-and-easy-hacks-for-cleaning-the-grill/18477770/

I am trying to wrap my head around the idea of pouring half a beer on the grill to clean it? I might try the onion trick, but there is no way I am wasting a perfectly good beer as cleaning solution. I know this makes me a bad person and all, but am I going to die of food poisoning?

As to football...Two years ago, the ref's couldn't seem to agree on just what constitutes a catch (see Jessie James). Last year, they couldn't figure out what the hell was a PI (see Haden) or what a false start looks like (see Chargers). Please look into your crystal ball and tell us what rule you think the Referee's will screw us over on this year?

1) I would never use beer to clean a grill, only to lubricate the griller. I hate outdoor grills with a passion. It's fun to cook on them, but damn does mother nature kick the **** out of them. You're lucky to have one last 3 years in humid climates. That's why everyone has to figure out how to get rust off of their grill, then end up cooking on it anyway, so you're eating broken down metal... I keep an electric flat grill for $35 from Walmart, that I set up outside on a folding table when I feel like grilling. when I'm done, I bring it inside, and wash, it, then put it away, so I don't have to stare at that eyesore the rest of the year whilst enjoying my porch.

This season, get ready for reviewing PI to become a complete clusterfuck. It's the first year, they'll be confused, and they'll **** it up. Then you'll have NYC calling in to help Brady get another first down on another phantom PI late in a game. Really going to enjoy that...

Cope,

Who will be your unequivocal sleeper on the front seven to make the final 53?

Sent from my iPad using Steeler Nation mobile app

That's a tough spot to make it as a sleeper, the spots are pretty much locked. DL is locked, we have Bush being a new starter along with 2 vets at ILB. The weakest link would have to be Dupree's spot, and I've been noting this. I think Ola can take his spot. He's not a rookie, but he'd be a sleeper starter on that spot. I also think the rookies will have a chance to be backups/ST players. Ulysses, Sutton can fill those roles. Buggs may push Big Dan off the roster. That would be a mild upset in the front 7.

I'd like to see an analysis of the D secondary expectations this year vs what actually occurred last year. By position.

I mentioned this on the podcast. This is the first year, since Pola retired, that both starting safeties are returning to play the same position they played the previous year. Edmunds will be the SS, and Davis the FS. I absolutely love both of their athleticism. Edmunds flashed and made some plays. I expect him to make a ton this year. Davis was nearly there. With a year under him, and his first year not switching positions, since he got here, I expect more confidence, and more splash plays from him this year. Hayden is lockdown. If he's healthy, no one will worry about him. Upgrading the other corner is another bonus. We finally have 2 starting caliber edge CBs and it's been a while since we had that. Meaning the other starter wouldn't start on most other teams. I love Hilton as a slot guy, and he will make a ton of plays this year. I also really like our depth at CB. Safety is a question, because I don't know how they're going to use them.

I love the potential for Marcus Allen as the $B. Also looking forward to seeing Layne, Sutton, Brian Allen, and Burns. If Burns light goes on this year, this secondary is going to be sick.

Where would you rank the starting safeties of Pitt in the NFL? I saw one ranking that had our "best" S (Davis) at 27th..

BB, I'm pretty far from jumping on the 'best' in the league bandwagon before the cart leaves the station. But I will admit, their athleticism is better than most starting safeties in the league. They are both entering the 2nd year as starters in their spots, and I expect a big improvement from last year. We will all see it. Davis is long, fast, and clicks and closes like a SS. That is a huge plus that very few FS posses. Edmunds flashed last year. This year, I believe teams will have to game plan for him. I'm expecting big things from them.

Also another aspect that is going to make our safeties better: Our Corners are better, We just got faster at ILB, and we have the best pass rushing 3-4 DL in the league. Hargrave is going to be a monster this season. Less time to throw, increasing pressure on the QB will lead to more picks this season. I'm anticipating a big jump in TOs this year with our team speed.

I don't know what hurts worse, not drafting Ed Oliver, or expecting him to be there when we moved to 10...

I'm sure they jumped to 10 hoping to get Oliver and settled for Bush after the Bills grabbed the Defensive Rookie of the Year

Cope, would you give us your predictions as to targets / catches / yards for whom you presume to be our main guys (5).

Salute the nation

I'll go with targets, since it will determine who will end up with the most catches and yards:

1. JuJu
2. Connor
3. Vance
4. Moncreif
5. JaySam

There you go. 2 receivers, a TE, and 2 RBs. I think JaySam is our 3rd down back, and will get a ton of targets this season.

NC - about as humid as it gets; same grill for over 10 years. The trick is having a cover and blowing up a coke on it each season followed by a good onion rub. FWIW - there is no rust on my grill and those big crusty things are flavor crystals. Next time you in Raleigh area, let me know and I will treat you to a onion crusted steak with the secret coke sauce.

Seriously, I was listening to NFL radio tonight. They had an interview with John Perry who was a ref in the last SB and just retired. The guy is a really good interview, but I can't say as I got a warm fuzzy about the process. The PI situation with coaches and their hankies is going to be a cluster **** this year. One point he made is that each time the clock is stopped for a review, there is an advantage for the offense. His point, but I agree...I extrapolate that to the NFL just gave another tool to the coaches to toss a flag to review a "suspicious penalty" to give them more time to think about their next play.

1) You know what you have in Sens. He is fine. He's not a starter, and shouldn't be. He can fill in, and he can be solid, but he's never taking away a top receiver or making a big pick to seal victory. Burns has a chance to be that guy. He was solid his first year as a starter. Regressed adn lost his spot the 2nd year, and last year was MIA. This is it for him. He performs or he doesn't. The coaches see this guy day in/day out, so they have a better read of his character than fans. If he turns it out, it makes them look like geniuses. If not, it's just another failure to add to the pile...

2) IDK. The Steelers usually make FA moves at safety without thinking. This year, not so much. Honestly, They may really like Marcus Allen and Dangerfield. Also Sutton, Hilton, and maybe a rookie corner can flip to FS or dime back in a pinch. We have so much invested in the starters, I'm really not as worried about the depth, but you're right. They better not get hurt...
