Is it just me, or are some of these questions dumb? And answering them takes no wisdom or insight.

This one's not bad though...

NICHOLAS PELCHAR FROM PURCELLVILLE, VA: Do you think that Levon Kirkland belongs in the Pro Football Hall of Fame? He is my favorite Steelers linebacker. Along with defensive end size for his time, he covered tight ends.
ANSWER: I don’t want to come across as someone who is disparaging Levon Kirkland’s Steelers’ career, but he simply was not a Pro Football Hall of Fame caliber player. That’s not to say that Kirkland didn’t have some very good seasons, and in the 32 regular season games of the 1996-97 seasons Kirkland had nine sacks, six interceptions, and three forced fumbles, plus another three interceptions in four playoff games those years. But doing that for a couple of years doesn’t constitute Hall of Fame production.

I have a game-worn and signed 99 jersey, but even I know he didn't have the production over a long enough span to make the Hall. And, it hurt that he ate himself out of top performance. 260 is one thing, 290 is another for an ILB.
 
Speaking of questions how about answering the questions multiple posters gave you?

I have never seen you post anything remotely intelligent, insightful or engaging yet. All you do is complain, while dragging your knuckles in the manner of a troglodyte.

Instead of offering quality content, you turn threads into ones of this manner. No wonder the owners have to pressure for contributions: it's ruining perfectly sound football posts
with your tripe that lowers the quality of board content. Why do you take so many on-topic threads and turn them into bile? You pollute this place with more off-topic content
than any other poster; walking with a limp doesn't give you the right to pollute the world with your anger and discontent.

More on point, Kirkland was a hall of very good player. He met some of the criteria for the Hall and did have a leaguewide impact, but lack of team success and a glut of Steelers in probably killed even any longshot chance he ever had of even being considered.

Lloyd had a better shot but he killed his with his press hating attitude and his career being cut short by injury just as he got on the national radar.

Do you know who i still think is going to make the hall one day when the vets vote on him? Aaron smith... no stats but maybe the best technique lineman in a 3/4 ever...

Someone else after troy from that early 00 defense will get in one day once what they accomplished settles in... smith or farrior maybe... troy is a lock... harrison from the later 00’s gets in...

The owners are not pressuring anyone to contribute. They ask, and are appreciative to those who do. It’s the members who DO contribute and see folks like you who abuse the board from the contributions of others. If you need daily affirmation from this board. Contribute. Otherwise watch Stuart Smalley SNL skits to soothe your fragile ego.

I think Casey Hampton and Harrison have a shot from that D. I'd also put Smith in before Farrior. Farrior would have been DPOY if Ed Reed didn't return so many INTs for TDs that year.
