I think we all can agree that culture and the culture shift is to blame for where we are now. Obviously that relies a lot on Mike. What one move in the past 10 years stands out more than any other?

To me........ it's plain and simple when we drafted jason worilds instead of taking Sean lee. I'm not worried about Lees injuries or stats or any of that ****. Whet I'm saying is when we started bringing in guys like worilds and what they stood for over characters like Lee and what he was all about. That was when we started down this road of misery.

Sean Lee was a steeler kind of guy. A winner and team player. Tomlin looks for guys like jason w. Over guys like Lee. Tomlin would have drafted a guy like Brown over a guy like ward and a guy like Ziggy hood over a guy like Arron Smith or a guy like laderis Green over someone like Heath Miller.
We have picked up far to many Browns over the past few years and it's time to draft Steelers again. We need a joe green to step up and take control of the lockerroom. Or IMO we need a coach to take control. I don't think it will happen under Tomlin's watch. You can't change who you are over night.

Cancel the season, the downfall will be our downfall....

If you can't spell Joe Greene's name right, you have no business talking Steelers football.

We are talking the best player in Steelers football history.

It is spelled with a E at the end.

If they have a "downfall" we know what caused it. That damn E.

I'd give him a pass here, he probably wasn't even born when Chuck Knoll was the coach.

I see what he's saying, we need to try to draft the guys that love the game, have a passion for playing, like Watt.

Black players over white/ Korean comparisons?
Too many Browns? wow
:frown-new:
I think the only race problem is not fixing the coaching problem because of the optics/ race card BS

Seriously bigben... are you that obtuse? Brown as in Antonio Brown you idgit. :hippie:

We need a joe green
and OP, if you knew the history of Joe Green(e) you would know that he didn't start out all warm and friendly with the Steelers organization. He had to be stopped in the parking lot from leaving the team.

The real start of the Steelers going off course was the hiring of Tomlin. Never had a clue and still don’t.
As for the SB win! BA,LeBeau, Ben, and leaders like Troy, Ike, Big Snack, Aaron Smith, The Beard, Hines and Heath won that not ******* Tomlin. He went along for the ride and stayed out of the way. What a joke that this guy gets as much credit as he does.
Don’t you guys remember when Heath told Brown to stfu. That’s what we needed more of instead of babying this ****** like the genius Tomlin did.

I don’t see the need to pick on the Jason Worilds pick in particular.. we’ve just drafted poorly on defense in general in the Tomlin era..
Jarvis, Artie, and Bud
Remember when they used to say if you miss on your first round pick it can set your franchise back years? Well there’s 3.

That, and if I had to point to one specific thing I'd say it was when Troy couldn't play anymore and was kinda forced to retire.

And for those who still don't get it there was/is no K in Noll.

Pfft. Knoll and GreeN are legends.
Didn't yinz know?

The downward fall happened as the Cowher core dropped off.

The team does have a new core to work with. Just a matter of how Tomlin can handle the talent.

Maybe we should show him some "Love"

Salute the nation

afc Championship game 2016 playoffs 2017 **** 2018 admittedly. the only thing this team is missing is a healthy Ryan Shazier to be right in the mix of it. 28-30 teams would love to have had a downward fall as the Steelers have had.

The standard is the standard.

We dont hold our team to the Bengals standard. We expect more. We expect our team and its leaders to expect more, so please, no whistling past the graveyard.

As long as we have a franchise qb. We have a chance. I would contend that with a healthy shazier we are at the top of the food chain. Despite our weaknesses at head coach
