If Metcalf, White, or Williams is on board, we have a heck of a choice to make.

Looking at round two, I think we could get a decent WR prospect ( Ideally a speed WR ) , or and a decent ILB prospect, however, the corner market is thin this year and 6-7 players will likely be taken before we pick in round two. Walter football has six corners off the board before we pick in round two.

This means if the Steelers want to pick a corner who projects to be a starter in the NFL, they will need to do so in round one. Williams or Baker.

1 ) Cornerback Williams or Baker

2 ) Wide Reciever Campbell ( and I'm okay trading up to get him with our initial 3rd if needed ) or Samuel as the plan B if we don't trade up

3 ) Inside Linebacker Lamar.

4 ) Inside Linebacker Ben Burr-Kirven

looks like we're bringing LJ Fort back, so ILB will likely not be addressed early on. At least not in the first round, IMO. Unless White or Bush are there.
If White or Bush are gone, then I can see us taking a WR. I doubt we'd take Metcalf, even if he is built like a battleship. He turns like one, too. I'd see Hakeem Butler being the selection at 20 in that situation.

No White or Bush, then we go WR.
then we look for Mack Wilson to fall in 2.

My heart says take a big receiver but I feel that is because I want instant gratification from this AB debacle. Go defense preferably inside linebacker. We won SBs with great defenses and not a whole lot of offense. This **** with the supposed 30 points a game clearly isn't working.

I disagree with you 100% on Metcalf. But if we go WR in round one, who? It would likely be Campbell or A.J. Brown.

On Butler, reports say he has shaky hands and below average route running ability. He didn't run a shuttle or cone at the combine. I highly doubt Butler will be picked in the top 20, as you think.

I want a receiver who can start immediately. Offense has to stay strong. I am intrigued by Metcalf. I want a shiny new toy for Ben

Oh I almost forgot. **** AB

BPA hopefully it is someone on the D side

I think they should trade every pick in this draft for picks in next year's draft, so the new head coach has lots of flexibility to build the team he wants from the ground up.

I understand we need to hurry up and be in when at all cost before Ben retires. But we have to get back to Bpa every time. If I am Colbert I get an lb in free agency. Zack Brown would be my choice. then a free agent WR. Tate or Cobb would work. then every round go BPA. trade up trade down do what every it takes to be the best team we can be.

even Shazier want great year 1 or even half of year 2. gotta get someone in free agency that can play asap. always go with BPA and you wont have huge holes to fill every year
If I had my choice it would be an ILB, and there's a good chance Bush is there or they trade up to get him.

1 Noah Fant. 2TE sets *******

2 Mack Wilson Best coverage ILB

3 Joejuan Williams, CB, Vanderbilt
Uses size well, quickness, Cluch

4 Kelvin Harmon, WR, N.C. State
Reliable, routes, great hands

Pretty solid and believable draft
Mart it Down!!!!

My thought is they will lean more towards
What have they done over what could they do!

If the Iowa TEs are there, we have to take them , better than any WR that would be available there

BPA within reason anyway... we need a starter out of this draft and we don’t really have too many holes but that said we didn’t make the playoffs... ILB and receiver pretty glaring... man I really like Harry out of asu.. he is a stud everyone has em in low 1st or second dude is a beast, a dez without the tude. Plug him in and he’ll be there long time he can catch bens wilder throws, Blocks like a tight end too. I llike the Bama backer because he can cover as well defense run probably will be there when we pick... but if I’m drafting for Pittsburgh Steelers I’m trading up for Devin White LSU.. we haven’t done it in awhile but when we have we’ve had good results. we need a playmaker in middle defense, a special playmaker white is he... but mostly we need to set it off! We need to send a message to the players, the fan base, to all in nfl that Steelers are back and mean business! Time to truly unleash hell!!! we are pissed off and if your playing the Pittsburgh Steelers you better tighten your chin straps!!!! We mean to go back to Super Bowl!!! White is super or Uber linebacker in that he can play over the top like a safety cover backs tightends slot receivers. He’s 235 4.4 heart of a lion and smart He’s like a coach on the field. Hes everywhere probably best true football player in the draft. I went to LSU vs bama and the talk among LSU ppls was something else they believed he could have beat bama by himself. With everything that happened since shaz’s injury, the rats jumping ship blaming ben, everyone losing faith in the coaching staff, bens age... time to put up and shut up and push all chips into the pile. the ben era is at its zenith the team is sooo close a player on defense white’s caliber could have the effect ben had on the cowher era and put us over the top... goooo Steelers!

We just picked up size and speed at WR with Donte Moncrief for a 2 year deal. After signing Nelson at CB I hope they turn there thoughts to combining draft picks to move up and get Devin White LSU ILB if obtainable or Devin Bush ILB if we think he won't make it to #20 spot. Both these guys are play makers, especially White. There are still some LBs left in free agency that I would not mind seeing them sign like Shaquil Barrett or Zach Brown for depth.
Several good TEs in this draft as well now that Jesse James has signed elsewhere.

All of the top corners have issues. Even before FA, our absolute No. 1 biggest need was at ILB. Now that we have signed a starting CB and a No. 2/3 WR, there is no question we have to go ILB in Rd. 1, even if we have to use our picks from the Raiders to move up a few spots to get Bush. ILB is a MUST. We can't ignore that glaring need 2 years in a row. And, as I have stated previously, Vinnie Will isn't getting any younger and has never been able to cover. He won't be starting for more than a couple more years. That makes getting an ILB even more of a must and double dipping with another ILB in the mid-rounds wouldn't hurt either.

since the signing of Moncrief - who would be a 2 or 3 anywhere, we should target White or Bush with 20.
TE would be nice, but we have Old MacDonald as long as he's healthy.
