"Brown-out" Sunday had nothing to do with an injury

How do U spell Steelers?

D R A M A

The comparison was for Tomlin not being able to manage Holmes and the team having to trade him. Not the abilities of the two WRs
Ah gotcha.

Mistook your quote.

Damn, I'm really shaky on trading AB. No way we lose AB and Bell in one off-season and get better lol

Something has to be done.

Brown got upset that Roethlisberger wanted to run a hot read over again during a walk-through, so coaches sent another player to run the play, a source close to the situation told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Brown got upset, left practice and talked with Roethlisberger afterward, telling the quarterback that he felt underappreciated and had issues with people in the organization, the source told Schefter.

At least the players did not take this to social media last week.

Strange days indeed

What does this dude need to feel appreciated? Carried off the field on his teammate's shoulders every game? He sounds very insecure of himself.

I gotta believe AB was benched. What kind of nut shows up, refuses to play and struts around in a fur coat?

Did I just answer my own question? Maybe AB is ******* nuts.

From everything I've read, he wasn't benched. He just chose not to play.

Still a bunch of conjecture, still not ready to throw the Steelers best WR of all time out the door.

I would can Tomlin way before that came to pass.

More drama. Tomlin and his star players. There is no team respect. No I was not there but I think Ju-Ju being named team MVP, over Brown and Ben had something to due with Brown's mood.

Brown for Ramsey straight up?

Lol...even trade as far as trash-talking, me-me guys.

Man, I miss the days where WRs just caught footballs. Steve Largent, Freddy Biletnikoff, Otis Taylor, Jerry Rice. TO started a revolution of divas.

I got the impression it was Tomlin's decision. If it was indeed a coaches' decision, I don't know why they hid behind the knee injury because there is no doubt that story is going to get out, especially if they missed the playoffs. I hope it was Tomlin who benched him and I hope that he clearly communicated that with Brown in a timely manner. I don't necessarily think Tomlin has to address it with the team as long as he handled things appropriately with Brown.

Brown had a bizarre year. He went off on reporters and then shows up to camp in a helicopter. He wasn't on the same page with Ben all season, despite the two being the most dynamic QB-WR duo for the past four or five years. That chemistry doesn't just disappear. If Brown doesn't feel appreciated by the organization, I don't even know what to say. The guy is front and center all of the time. He needs to get out of his own head on that one.

It's disappoint this is what stands out about this team. It seems like you have veteran leadership with Heyward and Pouncey, but the divas on this team don't follow the lead. Ben is in his own category of leadership/drama, so no words for him. But this team has a lot of guys who I really think are about the team and want to win: Heyward, Tuitt, Haden, the entire offensive line and great young character players with Watt, JuJu, and Conner, the foundation is there, the focus from the top down is not.

No question. Even though AB is a pain in the ***, I guarantee Ben still wants him on the team. I think Ben has kept him in checked more than any coach on the team. AB said Ben was constantly telling him to be patient and stay with him all season. Never heard him say that about the coaching... and there are people that still want to blame Ben lol.

AB is a Diva no question about it. However he's one of if not the best WR's in the NFL. If he can't swallow some of his pride and show respect for his fellow teammates during tough times then I say....trade him!

Trade him straight up for Jalen Ramsey! We don't need a *****, diva WR!

For a diva CB.. nah I'm good.

**** neon Deion.
Dude had just as much as an ego as Brown.

Steelers need to get rid of these diva ******* and go back to non attitude grinder type guys.
In essence we need more Ben and Juju type guys on offense and more Watt guys on D.

We dug our own hole this season.
Tomlin needs to grow a pair, stop coddling his boys and unleash hell.

Like obviously

While I agree with what you are saying I wouldn't exactly put Ben in the non diva category lol

Dulac and Bouchette wrote that Brown not playing in a must-win game against the Bengals “had nothing to do with any type of knee injury.” Brown also skipped Saturday’s walkthrough and team meeting, then showed up Sunday expecting to play according to Dulac and Bouchette. One Steelers player told the Post-Gazette the situation was “embarrassing” and “the worst I’ve seen.”

Well if he showed up expecting to play sounds like he was benched.

If AB refused to play how do you keep him on this team going forward? And why would you want him on your team going forward?
