Eagles release inside linebacker Mychal Kendricks

THIS is a move that would make a ton of sense, let's do it!
Realistically, at this point, how much money could he be demanding? This late in the offseason, it can't be much. Kind of a dick move by the Eagles.

Well they did have Dirty Red instead of Bostic lined up with the 1's today. I'd bring him in for the right price.

I think that is just giving Red his due / a look-see. I would be highly surprised if he won the job by end of camp.

Also Bostic still has some scheme learning to do. Which I suspect he will get a lot of hands on in preseason...........
 
Yeah, Bostic has no real understanding at this point of the defense while Dirty Red has it mastered. Makes perfect sense to have him run it and see how quickly Bostic picks it up.

That said I’d bring Kendricks in for the right price. I think he was making like 7 million. I’d offer him 3-4.

Maybe the Eagles sign him back. They brought in Paul Worrilow to replace him and he blew out his ACL today. It would be hilarious if the Eagles end up having to pay Kendricks more than he was making before because they could be SOL without him.

So, they released Kendricks after replacing him with Worrilow. Worrilow gets injured and I guess you could say the worry is high, not low.

Nobody wanted to trade for him because of his cap hit and the fact it was known the eagles would likely cut him. Kendricks is a great athlete who could be a better fit as a 3-4 ILB.

This situation reminds me a bit of when the steelers got Farrior from the Jets. Most gave up on Farrior but the steelers knew his skillset would fit in the 3-4.

The fact is, the steelers are thin at LB and even with his faults, Kendricks would probably be the best ILB on the steelers.

I agree that he projects as an inside ILB in a 3-4, and I want no part of him. At that price and he can't even cover a bed with a sheet?

Sorry, I'm hard on Kendricks, I watched all the Eagles games last year, and I don't like him on a TE at all. He's not the answer, he's an expensive run stopper who can get to the QB. We already have that with Williams, and he's much cheaper.

I believe that is a repeat injury for Worrilow if its the same knee....if so, probably done.
Damn shame---seemed like a good kid.

BTW--I used to work with his uncle.

Kendricks is the CLOSEST LB to 50 in the league. MAKE IT HAPPEN MR. COLBERT!!!
