I was semi-bored at work and thought I would look closely at these 2nd rounders statistics. I was a little surprised how similar.

5.54 40? Is thst right? Slow

5.54 is for washington correct?

Heard. Makes more since now

If they can get 3/4 out of Washington that they got out of Juju we will be just fine. All healthy AB gets his. I suspect Juju gets 1000. If Washington does decent they will be ahead.

AB had a 2.61 20 yard dash 4.18 20 yard shuttle. He was knocked for his combine but they didn't zero in on those two stats.

40 times are important but somewhat over blown. Short area quickness usually translates into explossive route running. I think Fichtner summed it up real well. There are multiple ways to win. Route running, strength, body position and control are all physical abilities too. It isnt just a 10th of a second. These guys are all real fast.

Technique trumps speed, and Sask is right. Speed alone doesn't get you open in this league, because everyone is fast. Gone are the days where the Raiders would just draft track stars to get deep on slower DBs. Now the DBs can keep up and have better awareness as well.

Of the HOF receivers, I think Tim Brown and Moss are the only sub 4.4 guys. Megatron should get in as well.

We also have sub 4.3 guys that do little to nothing. DHB is 4.3, Jacoby Ford, Marquise Goodwin, Dri Archer, and the fastest of them all? John Ross...

Glad you didn't compare him to Bryant as he is gone and we aren't sure if he was stoned or not stoned on his combine numbers. Washington may end up outside once he gets the rout tree. JuJu has definately been a PLUS for us and Burthdefect. For us it's the production on the field and for Burthdefect it's been the notoriety of the knock out, the fame that came with that.

That will be the interesting training camp figure out. Is Juju better in the slot or outside, ditto Washington.

It will be fun watching them move them around to figure out the best approach, on who to play where.

Knowing the Steelers regardless they will shovel them around. And I think Washington is made for that, where I think Martavis was more of an outside WR........

JuJu should play the role he stole last year. Outside Z in 2 WR sets. Blocking WR in 1WR running sets, and slot in 3WR sets.

I saw a vid of Eli jogging, so hopefully he can cut and hit full speed in 2mos. I also forgot we still have Marcus Tucker on the roster. He only projects as a slot receiver. He may take Eli's spot this year, if he shows improvement. I felt Tucker was a more explosive athlete. Eli had a better understanding of the offense. This year coming off an injury, the slot or second slot spot may come down to those 2 fighting for a hat.

I like JuJu's height advantage and reach capabilities in the slot in the middle of the field..I think he will stay there..

He at times seemed like a TE to me, with the added capabilities of being able to run the long crossing/vertical routes quickly and out running DB's after the catch..Very rare and unique for a wide-out his size

It will probably be dictated by formation and situation where Juju lines up. Id still want him on the field in any two wr sets. But yeah I think he excelled in the slot. Im not in the least worried about a step back bu Juju. Expanded role, more experience. If he is healthy he will be 1000 yards.

Ju-ju’s shuttle time looks too high.

Washington doesn’t accelerate quickly, and could be one of those long strider types, meaning he’ll struggle to separate in the nfl on the shorter routes and won’t be a deep threat.

He better be able to cut with speed.

I’m a little worried that Washington feasted on big 12 Defensive backs receiving many near perfect deep balls.

I’m not saying he can’t play. I am suggesting he is not tall, or fast with just decent quickness.

Ju-ju can be a number 1 feature WR. I don’t think Washington will be that type of player

Still think we should have picked ILB at this spot.

Good god man you're obtuse sometimes. Did you watch this guy at all in college? He was the most dangerous deep threat in college ball. He was clocked going 21.25 MPH during senior bowl week (fastest anyone ran in the NFL last season was Fournette against the Steelers unfortunately at around 22 MPH) and Fichtner has already praised his ability to separate. Here, read the below article from Senior Bowl week and maybe you'll stop being, well, you:

Also him and Mason have already shown the chemistry they displayed in college on a couple of deep balls in rookie camp.

None of that counts gentlemen. Coach knows everything by closing his eyes and telling himself what he believes. He doesn’t watch games, just clips on YouTube. Hindsight is his best friend.
