Cousins to sign 3 year $84million contract with Vikes

That's just nuts. 85 million bucks and you have absolutely no incentive to do ****. $1,750,000 per regular season football game....whoooweee.
 
The thing that gets me is.....$28 million a year....for Kirk Cousins. He is a good QB, but man, he isn't that good. $28 million a year. ****.
 
wonder what ben will get with an extension if KC is worth 28mil?
 
no wonder why Ben wants to play 3 or 4 more years. Too much money to be left on the table if he walks away now.
 
We'll see how good he is now that his team won't be getting blown out and he doesn't get to throw against prevent defenses alot of the time

What do you pay the rest of the team with? You can say what you want about lord brady, but he takes a discount so the pats can sign more players. I guess some players want to win more than others.
 
He has a lot to play for, after 3 years he'll get another big contract if he plays well.

He timed the market right and got overpaid. Seems like the same QB as Keenum to me.
 
I'm not saying he will fail but in year 3, if still able to play (injury), making the coin and throwing interceptions, what then???

That is crazy!!!!!!!!!!!! Dude isn't worth anywhere near that. I know he was with some mediocre teams but he doesn't even have a career winning percentage. I'd rather have someone that gets it done and wins games.

Cousins 16 starts 64.3 PCT, 4093 YDS 27 TDs 13 Ints Rating 93.9

Keenum 14 starts 67.6 PCT , 3547 YDS 22 TDs 7 Ints Rating 98.3

Not sure what Broncos are paying Keenum, but don's see the sense in Vikings switching when you have a QB who is familiar with your team
and offense and you switch to someone with similar stats and no experience with your team. They could have Keenum at much lower price and improved
their team elsewhere.

I think Brees was $27 million guaranteed.

Contract is two years, $50 million.
 
Im just glad cousins didn't goto the browns. They would have scored 50 on us.

I didn't understand the Vikings dire need for a qb. Keenum was better than solid and if they had all that money they could have given him plenty of pieces to play with
 
Cousins is 26-31-1 as a starter and vs teams with at least 9 wins, he's 4-16. I heard that on the radio, so if they're not exactly right my bad. 0 playoff wins.
