Bettis says Tomlin didn't have his team prepared

I love me some Connor, but he has the look of a career backup, even if it isn't derailed by injury.

He is a below average blocker, pass catcher, and runs better to the left.

Top notch heart and overwhelming feel good story. But not sure he is more than what we see.

Another ******** RB like Mendenhall. One more year and Connor will be our #1 guy.

Sometimes I wonder if some of you fools even watch football? WTF has Connor done other than spot duty and get hurt that makes you think he can just replace the best RB in football? Damn already with the stupid ****.

Cower did not have a HOF QB and the talent Tomlin has wasted.

This argument is disingenuous. Did Cowher have no talent on his offense? How about his defenses? We're there no hall of fame caliber players that he had on both sides of the ball? That, even with those same players, we still got our ***** handed to us? Not to mention that if it were for Cowher, and he had gotten his way in 2004, Tomlin wouldn't have the hall of fame quarterback that's been with this organization for the last 14 years.

That's because he was playing behind the best RB in football. However the best RB in football seems to be a pain in the *** to have around and will soon turn into a locker room cancer that won't be worth having around.

You done gone and criticized Mikey Sunglasses. You done messed up A A Ron!

If it were up to Noll, we'd never have the Immaculate reception, he wanted Robert Newhouse, not Franco Harris.

Conner couldnt make a full year injury free in a PT position......why would he be considered a #1 RB?

Many of the teams Cowher lost too went on to win multiple championships - except San Diego. I don't see that in Jax immediate future.

Im not defending anything but Jacksonville is going to be good for awhile

Bradshaw, Bettis and Hines all called out Tomlin, I guess they all know nothing.

Oh I know that we can play the "what if" game non-stop. I did just wanna point it out though because many other posters like to point out how Cowher never had much talent at the quarterback position, when it's pretty safe to assume that he wasn't the best at evaluating quarterbacks considering that Dan Rooney trumped Cowher when it came to selecting Ben.

Possibly, but look at our drafts there were never any QBs available when we picked that were considered top prospects.

The commen is both coaches had/have Ben on their rosters......... Cowher took greater advantage of that.

I don't know that Cowher took advantage of Ben as much as he had lights-out defenses.

At one point in this season Cool Shades had the number 1 defense.........#1. I hear what you are saying but I don't Remeber any and I repeat that, ANY of Cowher's team totally demised by the loss of one player, thus the greater advantage. Maybe I THINK COWHER JUST DID MORE WITH BEN THAN COOL SHADES HAS BEEN ABLE TO DO.

He had lights-out defense in the early mid-90's, but didn't have the QB. QBs had a huge hand in the 94, 95, 97, 01 losses.

Per Faneca, they put in a play/formation specifically for what they saw in Seattles D in 05 to set up Parker's big run. They called that set up play a few times in the first half, then lined up in that same formation and Ben saw the D and checked to the Parker run

Eh, I think that this years defense was fools gold, as far as ranking highly went, DiC. Even with Shazier in the line up. Obviously, as it came to be, they couldn't slow down Blake Bortles and the greatest show on turf reincarnated. Unfortunately, our defense had a big helping hand in making them look like the greatest show on turf.

Even though the defense played a bad game, if Jax doesn't win the turnover battle they lose the game. The offense gave them 14 points.

Neither do the Steelers minority owners who want him out!

Bell trolled the Jets on social media. WHY? Might they be interested in a trade for him?

So the fact that Rooneys says this is untrue doesnt mean anything to you??

The offense gave them 10 points, there's no rule that says the D has to give up a 22 yard TD run right after the INT, they could've held them to a FG.

If the defense just plays an average game we win, they gave up 35 points to Jax with Blake Bortles. We had the #7 defense in terms of points allowed allowing under 20 points per game and #5 in terms of yards allowed, hell the defense could've played slightly below average and we should still win.
