2 huge 4th and 1 calls and they draw up the 2 best plays of the game for easy conversions. If they played it by the book and went FG/Punt on the 2 4th downs, they lose.

Also notice how none of the 4th and 1s were pitch sweeps and both passes were under 5 yards.

I didn't agree with all of the Eagles HC's decisions, but his players executed the plays called and they worked. If that happens there isn't much bitching you can do. Personally early on I wouldn't have chased the 2 pts like he did after missing the first extra point. In the end he(Eagles) won the game...I'm happy.

And this is why most of us are glad that Haley's gone. Haley was infamous for his stupid play calls on short yardage. Hopefully the new OC is alot smarter in this situation.

Man, how about this nick foles! Dude has earned my respect and then some, he needs to be a starter in this league. Obviously the Eagles have wentz, so something needs to go down so he has a chance to be the man, somewhere

I am not sure the Eagles let him get away though.

Yeah gonna be quite a decision to make

Well you figure Wentz not guaranteed to be ready early right? And if so there is always a re-injury risk.

If I was the Eagles no way would I let him go anywhere.

Well according to Wentz a few weeks ago (yes, taking it with a grain of salt), he says he'll be ready for the opener. I guess we'll see

Not only the coaching of Eagles but look how Belicheck changed coverage and play second half. Listen to the players talk of the Eagles coach and how he coaches. Tomlin has no clue how to win championships. We blame Haley but Tomlin last we head is the head coach, Tomlin should be able to make game plans and calls on defense and offense. we don't see any of that.

That was good coaching. In other games that the Pats won, after the officials evened out the playing field the Pats got in their heads and they would start making mistakes. Tonight the Eagles coach wouldn’t let that happen. He kept them in the game, all the way.

Tomlin is not in their league. It's pretty damn obvious.

We know we can't beat the Pats***** but I don't see how we'd have beaten the Eagles either.

Foles made great throws and decisions. No fear. He will not be in Philly next year. Worth too much.

So going for it on 4th and goal with a trick play was “good coaching?” You only day that because it worked. If they walked away with no points, they likely lose that game.

The decision to go for two points was also potentially costly, when there Patriots went up by one.

Not defending the toss sweep, but just saying that our perception can be skewed. By the outcome.

Fantastic coaching. Everyone sitting on their *** watching these ******** knows that field goals don't beat NE. It's about time a team acted on that reality.

That 4 and 1 came and I thought here comes the field goal and another P* win. Grrr. And then they went for it. Hot damn they want to win this game I thought.

Foles is signed through next year. It's a $4M savings if they move him. If you can get a first rounder and another quality pick or player, you move him. His value will never be higher than it is right now, and teams may want him over Cousins.
