much improved. I'm actually starting to trust them. Haden was an upgrade and Hilton looks like a solid #3 corner who can make plays.

Improved coverage for Haden but he tackles just like Cockrell on those flare outs. He wiffed two today.

Hilton looks like a little rocket on them corner blitzes...

My neighbor has some good size pigs over there, I'm gonna buy one and send it to the defense. Turn it loose in the building and they can't go to the locker room till it's caught

Another 50 yard run....sometimes them boys tackle like old lady Kunze

Hilton play with heart and enthusiasm that has been missing for so long in the secondary. Haden is just doing what Hoe Haden does. Very happy with our DB play so far.

He can cover...that is all I care about. Tackling is over rated anyways. All players miss tackles now a days.

Nice to see this group making plays on the ball. Another big part of their improvement is the pass rush. They are doing a good job of pressuring the quarterback so far.

We have not played a good qb yet. Flacco has been bad this year. When Blake Bortles is the best qb you play in 5 games you should be sitting pretty. JAX is not playing to badly and is a scary game. We are coming off a big rivalry win and have the chiefs after JAX. Just hope the team isn't looking ahead.

As a Tomlin "basher" I have to give credit where credit is due. We're not seeing nearly as many of those dumbass 10 yard cushions anymore, and it's making a huge difference. We've been calling for it for years, and it's nice to finally see.

D is noticeably better with Tuitt and Watt in.

This can not be said enough. No coincidence the only ugly loss came when both weren't on the field.

Hilton has almost made me forget about that 2nd round bust we drafted not so long ago to play corner. Ironically the two were teammates in college.

Ill take a little shoddy tackling from Haden to not have to forfeit the 7 yard hook or out.

This is true, and it drove me nuts. Better to come around late than never. Although the quality of the QB's we have faced has been abysmal, we can see the DB's offering tighter coverage / making plays when the ball in the air. Before it was like, here, just take the free 5-7 yards, and we'll tackle you if the pass is there and your receiver catches it.

Joe flacco lacks consistency in his performance, he can throw a perfectly positioned laser like the Wallace TD but then become average Joe again in the next drive, but he is definitely able to make any throw at the NFL level. I wouldn't call him a bum

It helps to have the players who can play up close bump and run coverage. Cant play it if you don't have the players. Hilton's timing on the blitz is beautiful

I believe we are improved, but we haven't faced decent receivers or QB. Flacco doesn't seem himself.

This is it. Can you imagine Blake trying to cover his man up tight? They knew they needed to play up, they just didn't have the horses.

Solid. Not earth shattering spectacular. With KC and Detroit in coming weeks (trying not to look past Bortles) the secondary will surely be tested by Smith and Stafford

And we should give them props because they are playing well. And we used to complain that the lower tier QBs still torched us and so far that hasnt been the case. Thats a step in the right direction. Also we can sleep on Jacksonville if we want but they are going to attempt to run down out throat and they have the back to do it.

DB's always look better when the QB has happy feet and he's getting sacked.

Haden and Burns are starting to be a descent set of corners.

Seems to me we face decent receivers and QB every day in practice...........you know Ben / Antonio / Bryabt / JuJu......... Just saying

Salute the nation

I'm wondering what will happen when Cam Sutton is able to return from IR... I read that it is looking like he will be ready to play after week 8. Do they disrupt the secondary? If so who do they release... Allen? Gay?

Is there a bubble player they can release and keep the secondary intact? Johnson? I don't know....
