Nice to finally see the potential in our offense today. I think the offense will only keep getting better the more reps Bell, Bryant, Smith-Schuster and the rest of the offense keep getting. Ben seemed to settle down a bit from the previous three games on some of his throws and I think his decision making of taking what the Defense was giving him was better, still room for improvement though. Good rebound today by the Defense with the exception of the one big run the Rats had. Bring on the Jags at home new week. I really like the effort on the road....it was a total team win today. I think today was the first day we saw the true potential of what this team is capable of.

Game Balls:
LeVeon Bell - Finally seems to be hitting his stride....186 all purpose yards & 2 TD's
Juju Smith-Schuster - I think this kid is going to develop into a great WR as the season progresses. Once Ben gets comfortable with him he will become a go to WR.
Ryan Shazier - For as off as he was last week he was on this week. Great game by Shazier
Cam Heyward - He is another guy who had a **** game last week but turned it around this week. 2 sacks and forced fumble & fumble recovery today and constantly collapsed the pocket on Fluke-0
Mike Hilton - Had a sack and his first INT of his career.....nice game
Sean Davis - I think Davis had three pass breakups today....one of his best games thus far in his young career

Game Goats:
O-line Penalties - I'm not going to name names but too many damn penalties putting our offense in a whole at various points in the game.....Steelers need to minimize them especially the bone headed ones like Head-Butting by Villaneuva. Several False starts and Holding calls too that put us in 2nd & 3rd & long situations.

FU's:
**** THE RATBIRDS & THEIR ******* FANS!
The officiating crew - I watched the so called Ben INT. That pass was caught and secured by Brown....knee was down. They got the call right on the field then reversed it. IMO that was one of the worst calls I've seen all season in the NFL. Just terrible! Then on a third down pass that Juju Smith Schuster caught for a first down two Ratbirds holding him up while one of their LB'ers blasts him helmet to helmet and no call was absolutely ridiculous. The play was in the third quarter on the drive where Boz missed a FG. Should have been a 15 yd penalty on the Rats. How do they miss calls like this is beyond me!

Pass defense has been very good

Good game overall. Gilbert needs to get healthy real quick though.

Game ball: Bell and the Defense
Goats: Oline and penalties. I'll name a guy, Hubbard. All good though big feller. Overall solid run game. The line's penalties are easily corrected. Chalk it up to an off dayZ

FU's: Officiating. The whole saying the challenge was an int....I don't get it.
A lot of uncalled late hits. Sure it's probably easier to see on tv, but still

mostly agree but besides some hiccups with the penalties the line opened up some serious holes and kept Ben upright most of the time with plenty of time

The penalties are frustrating but I think they start going away as the line gets used to all these sweeps and traps. I swear I saw a Chuck Noll tackle trap today. They were all running around that field like a rugby player in overtime and Nix looks like the road grader. He caught a safety trying to come up and fill over RT and sent him back 5 yards on his ***. Good stuff.

Yeah Al got caught retaliating...oops

+1 to Metakavich. For straight up chastising Davis for reaching out and stopping that punt.

-1 to our Goal line Defense. IF youre going to run TWO DL only,, then you better have a good technique / scheme for them to do. Both Heyward And Tuit stood up high and got pushed back.

**** yeah, Nix must be a feature in the running game. With so much talent at WR why not play more the I formation? with Bell's ability to catch they should keep using the wheel route and you can keep the TE and Nix blocking if the play isn't a run

way too many penalties especially when they reach the Red Zone....gotta get that **** fixed

You are 100% right. You can not lose possession of a ball if you are down by contact. That should not have been an INT, unless the refs ruled that the pass was incomplete. I never heard that as part of the ruling, so I'm going to assume they ****** up to keep the game close...

They said AB never had full possession of the ball and since the ball never hit the ground it's an int

That's a **** call and you know it. He caught the ball and his knee was down. It's a catch at that point end of play!
I agree, catch, down by contact, but we were robbed the same way in Indy 12 years ago

The refs said his forward progress was stopped and the play was blown dead....then how the hell did they decide it was an int if he was down by contact....just awful.

The Giants got screwed today too.

Aside from the penalties I thought the Oline played a solid game.
They manhandled the ravens the 1st half.

Easily corrected hiccups. Nothing concerning, just frustrating at times

Dan Fouts was even confused

Does that surprise you?????? I like him but he gets confused easier and easier as of late.

Salute the nation

Game ball:
Mike Hilton. He is the reason why i like fast younger guys instead of over the hill vets. He doesn't know everything yet but he runs around like a mad man.

I know Vince Williams hasn't done enough for a **** you, but his season body of work doesn't inspire enough confidence. To not want a upgrade in the draft or free agency. Mostly a off-season topic. But I would like to see him step it up a notch in the run game....

The officiating was horrible. That being said- I was shocked that the refs overturned that play that went the Ravens way (I can't remember which one- I think it was a scoring play).

His elbow was clearly down before the ball broke the white line, after replay I would have been shocked if that wasn't overturned. As there was no misinterpreting that rule.

And his hip was down. The correct call
