Ask Drunk Cope!

Trick Question. It depends on the Peppis you got it from. The 2 closest are Smithfield Street (by the bridge) and the Strip. both give you plenty of time to finish on the walk, though the Roeth is a sit down sandwich, not a walker. I will usually split it with someone just so I can walk afterward. Lettuce, tomato, mayo is the way to have it!!

I'd like to, but I will not be able to get all of them done before cut down. Picking up Vance now puts Xavier and Johnson on the hot seat. I don't see us keeping 4. I see us keeping 3. If I have to choose today, I think Johnson is the odd man out this year. Nix is a better fullback, and Jessie, Xavier, and Vance are better TEs. This is an instance where position flexibility does not help.

No I don't, and ever since Ben got hit on a Pittsburgh Left, i will not, ever...

I am floored that the league allows him to run a team sanctioned 'nutrition' business out of the stadium complex, and it's not considered a conflict of interest with his salary cap. To me it is a legal front to circumvent the cap. I do believe he is doing whatever he can to prolong his career. I don't know if it's HGH, nutrition supplements, or drugs. It would purely be speculation. But he does really care about what he eats, and that is a big advantage to others keeping it optimal shape.

Steelers of course. My Dad worked in the Steel industry in northern Cental PA, as did my Uncle (his only sibling). It's in our blood. It was also a way for us to stay close to Dad when our parents got divorced. We could always talk football to avoid family pain. Though the 80s steelers were very painful to watch at times...

Anytime!

I knew you'd come through and thanks O'mighty warrior !!!!!!!!!!!

Salute the nation

What is your opinion on the NB Juicy Watermelon? I was disappointed.

Hey Buster!

For watermelon beers, I am a BIG fan or Hell or High Watermelon from 21st amendment brewery. I've never been the biggest fan of New Belgian, but I do love their Citradelic. The Juicy Watermelon, I can take or leave, but the beer distributor had it on sale for $10 a case, so a grabbed one!

What inspired you to get drunk and what are you drinking?

Hey Trog, I listed my beers earlier. I've been on the road since Saturday. I live in the DC area, and I worked DE on Sat, Albany, NY on Sun, New Britain, CT on Mon, Philly on tue, Keyser, WV today, and I'm home before blasting off to Northern VA tomorrow, Fairfax Fri, then Mt Saint Mary's Univ Fri Night and Roanoke area for Sat and Sun...

And......is he out? I picture him toppling over sideways in his chair and going face first in the dog's water bowl. At least that's what I want to picture. Too much to ask for?

Rule of thumb for me drinking at a party. If I start to lean on something or go horizontal, I'm out. Best thing is I'm a champ at nap and rallies. 20min and I'm back in action!

Is Cope drunk now? Do you have to work in the morning? How comfortable is your couch? Are you wearing a diaper in case you release your bowels while inebriated?

Sent from my SM-G935P using Steeler Nation mobile app

I work from home, but I do events. I travel tomorrow afternoon to my hotel in northern VA. No need to be sober until 2pm...

Couch is super comfy. Wife and I both find ourselves sleeping a night away on it at times. The cat is with me now, so no reason to get up. Until I have to pee. That is where the diapers would come in handy!!!

when will they sell Yuengling in Texas????/

I can remember in 1998, I still had to bring yuengling Lager with me across the border to my college in MD after visiting my family in PA. It was well before microbrews, and Yueng had the best taste compared to the American Adjuncts that were out (Miller, Coors, Bud, and the **** brands below it).

Yuengling now distributes the whole east coast (since it opened up the Tampa brewery (thanks for that Spike!))

Texas has Lone Star beer. What more could you want?

Cope, you are a hoot. Very knowledgeable and friendly guy. And that work schedule, geez man, that's pretty brutal. Anyways, just wanted to say thanks for the lighthearted laughs.

I'm glad you're enjoying it SW. I even find the time to write an article or 2 for this site. I wrote the last one on the toilet. True story! My legs fell asleep and it took me 5 minutes to leave the bedroom...

Lone Star is closer to Iron City than Yuengling...Texas does have Shiner and Karbach and St Arnolds which put out some good brews...Shiner is probably the closest to Yuengling....

is is probably the rarity of me being able to get some that make me yearn for Yuengling as much as I do....

True Lone Star is an American Adjunct as well. I do like Shiner. They do some very good traditional German styles. Yueng is a very German company. Their Bock was awesome, but they discontinued it for now. I also love their Black and Tan. That is a unique beer that no one else replicates.

Perfect drunk Cope question...Lets go back in time. How was Troy able to overcome his unusually large cranium and become a future Hall of Famer?

gotta agree...Yuengling Black & Tan is my favorite.....

awboatguy, I watched the highlights for Vance. This will be a shorthand breakdown.

His breakaway speed is astonishing. He can break longer plays than Bell with his speed! Wow.

I will say this. TEs normally are great at using their hands. It is coached in them since they were in HS to get their hands up to make a catch after a block. The best ones have hands in the ready position after making a block.

His highlights are limited, but instead of being a hands catcher, I'm noticing a lot of body catches. That may lead to his high drop ratio.

I do find this big head issue for Troy to be laughable. I think it was because they were measuring his head with his hair included. one interesting point that no one really talks about. Though he was concussion prone in college, he did have a lot of hair under his helmet. This extra hair would be an extra layer of cushioning for big hits. I think that's why he played as long as he did.

I wasn't always a fan of his tackling. It was more like launching or torpedoing, but I can honestly say, I have never seen a more athletic safety to ever play the game. The next closest for me would be Sean Taylor, and though he was also other worldly, he did not have what Polamalu had.

We are now at the point of the night where I either have another beer or go to bed. Your questions would keep me awake.

Where is drunk cope?

Question: How the **** did superman become admin?

I'm in MD now. Just moved from Philly and now I'm close to Baltimore. Closest to Frederick MD in fact.

Supe strung together a tirade of confusion mixed with humor and enough charisma for the administrators to look past his debauchery and felonies. Very much in a Game of Thrones, Little Finger kind of strategy utilizing Chaos as a ladder to improve his position.

Either that, or blowjobs...
