Don't think Ray Rice will be defended anymore...

I've seen no reason to think that the Ravens knew about the video.

Let me see if I have this straight.

The police had the video.

His lawyer had seen the video.

The casino said if the NFL had requested the video, they would have gladly provided it.

And you think the Ravens didn't KNOW about the video? The same video that his lawyer implied made Rice seem like the victim, that video?

And yet you make the leap that because Ben had money, that's why the case wasn't prosecuted. With Z E R O evidence to support it.

You sir, are a complete ******* moron.

Joe

There is no need to get all emotional.

If there was a video of rayray stabbing those people to death, he might have went to jail. After big ben got in trouble, I started videotaping all of my sexual encounters, just to be on the safe side.

This post is useless without pictures.

This is a MUST watch. Keith Olberman calls for Roger's resignation, the resignation of the Ravens execs, the NJ prosecutors and more:
http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=11491012&ex_cid=sportscenterFB

As I wrote on Facebook: "I rarely agree with Keith Olberman. Yet I have never agreed so completely with something as I do with what he outlines here. The Ravens execs must go, Roger Goodell must go, the prosecutors must go. A coverup this was. Roger got away with covering up the crime that was Spygate by destroying the evidence. This time, TMZ prevented Roger from covering up another crime to protect his business. Bravo Mr Olberman. Bravo."

**** does actually SEEING him punch her out change? we all knew what happened. only now people can see it. it's bullshit.

Not really it just offends peoples sensibilities more to see it.

Rice's lawyer had the video ages ago.

I'm not sure what that has to do with the Ravens, though. You had Rice, his fiance, and his lawyer all corroborating the way the incident went down, and everyone seemed to be fine - is it really a stretch to say that Ravens mgmt might not have seen, been aware of and/or seen any need to view the video if they were aware of it?

meh... i guess so.
i saw him moving around her dead to the world body back in febuary. i didn't think she slipped and hit her head on the elevator's floor button. the video is basically exactly what i thought it would be

I saw Olberman yesterday too doing an interview with John Clayton. I thought he was spot on with about everything he said. had some very tough questions that should be answered by the league and the Ravens.

Ravens held press conference last night.

Only Harbaugh. No Ozzie, No Bisciottii, No Cass Just John and dayum was he was snobby and a little *****. Ravens fans are NOT happy with his conference, tone, demeanor and attitude.

Said the tape "was not available' ignored comments about giving the blow by blow of what happened.

Many players have tweeted and talked to talking heads saying, the players asked for Rice release as he told them all a lie when he addressed the team. Other players are said to want out of Baltimore as they feel Ravens, like NFL hid the truth

Well all I have so far is test footage of my practice sessions, just me and a blow up doll, to make sure the lighting and camera angles are good. But I'll get some good stuff one of these days.

Well here is my take on the situation after reading the latest on TMZ ...

Someone saw the tape -- probably one of the NFL lackeys that were assigned to the Ravens (as people have implied are assigned to teams) This person reported back to all people involved that it was bad and to cover their butts they should not watch it. Knowing that requests to get a copy from the police will be denied they will be covered from that end. The fact that Ray's attorney had it well he was trying to protect his client. (under the ruse of Client privilege) ... don't see don't tell -- seems to be a favorite avenue for a lot of people ..

The commish thinking that he is beyond reproach thought he could get away with it..

NOW enter a young hungry investigative reporter trying to make a name in the "Trash Rag " world they get a copy of this tape. Nothing better than to hold on to it until the FIRST game of the regular season to release it.. That what they do big SPLASH reports.

It is interesting to see that the MEDIA is also questioning WHY they did not try to find the video. I have heard several of the well respected players and analysts question this very thing. DV is a real problem and the NFL had a chance to take a lead on championing this cause like the ATTEMPT to do with cancer but choose to sweep it under the rug .. for that reason alone I think that the commish should be FIRED .. (although that isn't going to happen since the owners love him so much ) ..

As Steelers fans we have seen the inconsistent penalties that the commish has levied on certain teams - all the time we have been told it is just sour grapes because it was our team and that a conspiracy did not exist. It wasn't conspiracy it is REALITY he covers up what he wants ... I wish I had a list of all the teams that had players that were in trouble in the off season. Kaepernick is one that comes to mind, but for some reason that situation seemed to disappear as fast as it was surfaced. Anyone else curious why he wasn't tried in the media like Ben was ? Sorry I digress .. this entire situation stinks !!

SOMETHING IS REALLY ROTTEN IN THE NFL OFFICES !!

So, I respond showing you how ******* stupid your positions are, and THAT is what you have. Thanks for proving the last line.

Emotional outbursts and name-calling generally "show" nothing at all, except in the eye of the beholder.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

To Ray's credit, his fiance was out cold before she hit the floor of the elevator. I might be willing to pony up 50 bucks to watch him fight that undefeated MMA chick.

You folks do realize that Goodell is not acting on his own, right? You can bet your *** that the power owners in the league had a huge hand in how this thing was handled. The legal system fast tracked it through and gave him a slap on the wrist. They KNEW that his "wife" was not going to make any noise. They weighed the risk/reward to a drawn out process. They did what they always do, they tried to make it go away as quickly and quietly as they could to save the shield. It worked for a couple weeks, problem was TMZ had the money to get the tape. Nobody thought they were playing tiddly winks in the damn elevator after he dragged her body out of it.

The public outcry forced their hand, as well as the Rats' hand just like it always does. Now they are all circling the PC wagons. Roger Goodell didn't get into this mess on his own. No way. If you think for a minute he's going anywhere I have some swamp land in Death Valley for sale.

This is tough for me. As a father to a daughter the means to world to me, it's unconscionable. But this bothers me too:

Palmer wrote on her Instagram account that she still loves Rice. "I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I'm mourning the death of my closest friend," Palmer wrote. "If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you've succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is!"

I understand the whole battered woman syndrom, but banning R.R. has cut off her livelyhood too.

In Palmer's defense, It's not like she remembers the incident...

No more than a police officer, teacher, or any other profession when they get fired after being convicted of domestic abuse. It happens every day. Sometimes its the wake-up call the victim needs to get away from the situation.

Oh yeah, I know...I'm not justifying anything. But this woman is going through more than any of those examples you gave. Her name is being blasted across the county. A video of her limp shoeless body being dragged across the floor had been seen by countless folks. She went from being a millionaire to the wife of an unemployable man overnight. She didn't ask to be the poster child for domestic abuse. Victims of domestic abuse have a choice...all too often they make bad, wrong, inconceivable choices, but a choice none-the-less. This woman has been stripped of any choice she may have had.

I'm not justifying anything. R.R. is a dirt-bag. Merely expressing my empathy for her.

This woman still has choices. First, she has the choice that all victims of domestic violence have; stay and continue the pattern or leave. Should she decide to leave, she actually has a better opportunity than most domestic violence victims. Being, as you said, the poster child for domestic abuse opens up the opportunity for speaking engagements. She can also now sell her story/write a book about her experiences. I'm not saying that domestic violence was a good thing for her. However, based upon the celebrity nature of her abuser and the public nature of her situation, she has opportunities that the average victim does not have available.

Also, being his wife now does not preclude her from suing him for assault. Given that most of the U.S.A. has seen that video, it's probably a slam dunk win for her.

Somebody mentioned it earlier and it bears repeating. I truly worry about the danger she's in because of the stress the ban and getting fired will put on Rice. He could seriously kill the woman because he somehow blames her. He could certainly beat her again out of frustration.
