First, when Bell is running the rock right down the opposing teams throat give him a damn chance inside the red zone. He is your workhorse and if he wants to get paid and compare himself to Seth Curry let him prove it and get us into the end zone.

Secondly, I love AB and think Eli Rogers is going to be very good. But what do both those two lack? HEIGHT. I want to see Jesse James and his 6-7 frame and if we can get princess Green to ever play his 6-7 frame matched out wide and I would put AB in the slot or run a slant with him forcing the other team to give a one on one match up with James, Green (Hamilton if Green is still on the rag) and throw the ball high and let them box them out like a power forward and get us a TD.

Those are my two fixes what else do you think the offense could do to get 7 and not 3?

run in short situations, that's it. Try a Play Action after a couple of running series

Didn't seem to be a problem v Miami. Don't think it will be a problem Sunday v New England either. We will find the end zone multiple times.

KC did have the best red zone D, and not sure why hardly anyone wants to acknowledge it, but we did DROP two tds

Wasn't one of those by are current "VIDEO" guy???

Salute the nation

Better play calling in the red zone. Still grieved by 1st and goal at 5 and Ben throws pass that only 1 Steeler was in
end zone and was completely covered.

Guys need to make plays......

Red zone offense is difficult because you have a shortened field which brings every movement by the offense into clearer focus....You do need diversion plays and give different looks. For example. How about a sweep with Bell ? 2 back set....Give it to the fullback? Short screen pass? Load up WR's on the right & hit JJ on the left? Bootleg? Reverse? How about Bell hitting the hole down here to switch it up instead of dancing in the redzone?

The point is, we have SUCH a high powered offense, different looks are essential to keep teams honest....Too predictable.....

Keep them guessing in the red zone

I put Bell in the I with Nix in front then run play action off that.

Second time I show them the same thing except I do hand off. Problem is Ben never tries to sell play action, instead he just stands there and stares at the runner.

Sell the PA to give Bell a better chance to squirm through.

I'm good for 14 thats it.

i'd line up Eli in the shotgun, with Green and James in sidecar mode. Then put Ben, AB and DHB in some form of WR bunch.
I'd then have Eli throw it three times from the 1/2 yard line before sending Boswell in to kick while AB streams that **** live on FB.

I think any time the Steelers get a 3rd and short or goal line they should go empty backfield....five wide.

That brought some terrible arians memories.

We don't really have a high powered offense, besides AB who are we going to throw to, and even he has 5 drops in two playoff games? We haven't used Bell in the passing game hardly at all in the playoffs, this should be a high priority for this game, and not as a wide out, slip him out from the backfield.

Have to type this out... Laughing My ******* *** Off!

I'd like to see them go more play action around the twenty and try to zap them for the score. No offense to Bell but I think Williams is the better red zone RB inside the 10

You would think that with the height of James it would be pretty easy for Ben to toss him a few jump balls once in awhile. Also I dont know why they haven't put Williams in the backfield with Nix and tried a little power run game when they get inside the 5. Does Bell really have to touch the ball 30 times a game?

Doesn't have to be pretty with the killer B's every time....Just get the damn TD.

Is this serious??? Yes, let's improve our red zone performance by taking one of the best players in the NFL off the field and replacing him with a guy whose last meaningful offensive snap took place in October.

the act or instance of scoring six points by being in possession of the ball on or behind the opponent's goal line.

I'd go with this one. I'd also plow the road with a te,FB and Bell on sweeps.

No one is talking about who is a better running back. That is without question. What I would say is that Bell is a vision/ patience runner. D'will gets to the hole. When you are running around the goal line, patience is not a virtue. Re watch how this team played around the ten in those first 4 games or so. I think you will see a distinct difference.

I wouldn't mind some looks with Bell split wide and D Will in the end zone. Throw a couple slants to Le'Veon and let them know we plan on using him beyond just road grading 30 times

Hi Bruce! Thanks for coming back to the board.

Why do people pick one game, and automatically think that we will only score by FG the rest of the year. I have been hearing that all day. Why are people signaling out the KC game, and have no mention of the Miami game? We are averaging 26 a game this season..
