Not for nothing but I'm a lil worried about Our Defense. Specifically against the run.

Ajai ran all over us last time. Are we still blaming it on the late night on South Beach?

I don't remember who was OUT that game on Defense. But we got spanked.

Harrison only played half the defensive snaps, split time with Jarvis, hargrave played less than half, Dupree and Shazier did not play, Davis did not play, McCullers played like 6 snaps.

Welp

This will not be the same Defense that played in that game and last time I checked there aint no "South Beach" in the Burgh.

Tuitt was injured early as well in that game.

Not for nuthin, but Ajai is, apparently, pretty damned good.

Game book shows Tuitt played 93% of the snaps. He may have had to play a bunch of them injured, I guess. Injured in the 3rd Qtr.

Game 1 Dolphins had 6 plays of 30+ yards. Three were runs by Ajai.

Looking at those who played D in Game 1 vs. those expected to start in Game 2 ought to give you some optimism.

How many threads/times are we going to discuss this? Our D is NOT the same D that played in Miami. They are playing different personnel and different schemes. And, they are executing better individually and as a team. Ajai is good but he is no McCoy and we totally shut McCoy down. We have shut down all RB's during our win streak. Whatever the problem was, they seem to have addressed it.

No doubt Butler will game plan to stop Ajayi and make the Dolphins beat us in the passing game. It's do or die, win or go home. Steelers will sell out to stop the run, I have no doubt about that. Now wether or not the Fins can capitalize and move the ball with play action and the intermediate passing game with Landry remains to be seen. I like our chances, especially if we can put some points on the board and make them one dimensional playing catch up. Can't wait till Sunday.

The Bills were one of the top running attacks when the Steelers visited them, Shady McCoy was held to 27 Yds, team total? 67, and that was counting a 22 yard run by the 2nd RB.
Steel Curtain baby

I'm mostly worried about our special teams. 3 of our best SP players, Chickallo, Golden and Vince Williams did not practice today.

having DHB and Nix available gives me confidence

If I remember correctly Heyward did not play in the Dolphins game either. I think that was his first game out for a few weeks. I know he is not playing this game either, but Ajayi probably benefited from a DL getting used to playing beside each other.

Weather a tad bit different this time around too....

Dolphins dont care too much for cold weather.

Obviously I don't subscribe to this theory, as we probably have more Miami players than they do.

We don't live in our fears, we will defend every blade of grass, while playing above the neck football.

See we don't live in our dreams,we live in our hope. The standard is the standard.

More grounded, more humble, more selfless makes us more opportunistic.

Our D is much better now than last time, but we are still missing too many tackles. We have to wrap up and bring them down at first contact.

If we win this week.. then I'll be worried about our special teams play against Hill.

I was looking back at that game, dirty red was in there on one of the long TD runs.

Yeah and Timmons was spewing on the field

Anybody else notice that the D got better right after benching Jarvis and using 38 year old Deebo on every snap?

Yes, you could see it in the games Jarvis started, that when Harrison came in he made things happen. I don't know why it took so long to make that switch

Yes, I mentioned that twice.

In addition, the young DB's in Burns, Davis, and Cockrell improved as the season went on.

The QB's WR's and RB's playoffs in the AFC is nothing special besides Brady.

Yah I was thinking the same thing. And you know we will punt it right to the ******.

Haha that seems to be the way it is.. they would have lost a couple games if it wasn't for his returned kicks/punts, not giving him those opportunities is huge.

Anyways, definitely not looking ahead. Need to win Sunday first and foremost!

You think Berry would direct the football high and away.
