I have never said to fire Tomlin but of course an ******* like you is too stupid to realize a difference between calling the con man a bad coach and calling for an action that is none of my business or concern. The Steers will fire him when they tire of his clown act, his increasingly mediocre teams or when fans stay away from the games. I have zero invested in the con man and his stupidity, whether he is fired or not means less than zero to me.

Just like last year when we kept losing preseason games that don't matter and then of course we **** the bed in the opener against a crappy team at home and we start 2-6 and continue the Tomlin tradition of losing time and time again to bad teams. This team is a reflection of Tomlin, fat, sloppy ,stupid with no sense of urgency and no attention to detail. He has slowly rotted this team from the inside out but hey its only preseason and we have all those glowing bullshit reports from training camp that the moron loves to stack in lieu of actual coaching acumen.

Well guys thanks for the updates. This seemed like I thought things would work out so far. Steelers in the game and rebuilding. Some highlight plays by rookies evident. Later some bone head or inexperience plays that cost the team the game. Likely to be a long season. I do not expect Tomlin to save the team. He will be here likely at least 2 more years regardless of record. At the end of that time he may be gone if he is unable to rebuild the team to a contender. Realistically he has been getting better, he is just not that good yet.

Thanks for all the posts and I really thought the clip of Archer on the long run after catch was good. The kid may be just what they needed on offense to help out the scoring. I also think the steelers should rethink the pre-season a bit and try and use the games to get the team ready to play. They have had a lot of slow starts over the years.

I agree.

This collective bargaining agreement seems to have hurt the teams readiness. Probably all teams..

I think the process needs re-thunk. Coaches need to use less of the preseason games to gauge the talent they have in camp. Use more of it to to run base Offenses and defenses and get a routine.. get better... etc..

Wolfly shared a story last night about chuck noll putting his first team o line back in the game in the 4th quarter of a pre season game, because he wanted to win the game,,,, "winning is a habit" and it's true. .

we NEED the time together to GEL, not to figure out if Shaq Richardson is going home or to the practice squad.

Adams played 3 quarters I think. Im not sure they are evaluating him or actually trying to make him a better back up, with lots of practice..
 
They did put the second string Dline and LBs back in down at the goaline to attempt to stop the Giants from scoring the go ahead TD. So the Giants threw it instead over Green

Other than some of the things already mentioned, good , bad and otherwise, what jumped out at me is that Wheaton's blocking is atrocious. 2nd year guy should do a little better than that. Must be getting pointers from our b/u o linemen.
 
The offense will be fine as long as the O-line stays healthy, we only saw the 1's for one series - ******* Foster almost gave me a heart attack.

The defense looks slow and sloppy in the secondary as usual - we must have the slowest CB's in the league
 
Does Tomlin ever get in the face of the players that completely go dumb. Not enough players on the field on a goal line stand and he pats one of the players on the chest who was not smart enough to get in the game. You want to win stop the mistakes and make the plays.
 
Actually it was wholesale changes made and Howard Jones who was on the field came off. He should of stayed on.

And I'm sure the usual suspects will have the boatload of usual excuses ready to sail.
