I have a hard time seeing Denver winning. They would need an old school NY Giant's time of possession dominance, zero mistakes, good special teams performance to win.

My official pick will be later. For now I can't figure out why the betting line is as close as it is.

I, for one, am waiting with bated breath. Not sure I can hold on too long.

If Denver plays tight man and manages to slow down the run, they have a tiny chance.

Someone was telling me the Denver-Pittsburgh line was even about a week before the game - I was ready to load up if I could have found a good bookie. I think the line will stretch later in the week when they find out Peyton is injured (just kidding).

Just don't know in this one. As good as Carolina has looked, I just have a hard time rooting for or picking an NFC team.

Picking Denver but would not be surprised to see them get hammered.

Denver - 30
Carolina - 27

Carolina is just a 3.5 favorite. If I were guessing wat the line would be I'd say about 8!

There must be a lot of gamblers or homers who are backing Denver, but I haven't seen anyone I know who thinks Denver is going to win.

I want to see if Denver's safeties are ready to go before making my pick.

One of the few games I might actually bet on if Denver is only getting 3.5 points.

I think the Panthers win by, at least, 10 points.

Stage will be too big for Newton who still can't read defenses, 3 picks later and Manning rides out a Super Bowl winner.

The Broncos will not self destruct and the Panthers ONline will not have an easy time with Von Miller who may just destroy their offense just like he did against the Pats.

Broncos 24
Panthers 13

Not Broncos fan by any means. I lived in Denver for a while and they are unbearable. That said...come on Denver!!!

Denver 31
Super Duper 21

Denver 27

Carolina 14

Denver's Defense will be too much for a gimmick QB with no name receivers. Plus as a Tennessee Volunteers fan I am rooting for Peyton.

Meh....I don't know. I think Carolina will hammer them and it seems as if most other people do too.

Because of that it will probably be close or maybe even a Donkey victory.

Carolina 31
Donkeys 21

I think this one will be a slug fest:

Brockos - 20
Scam Newtons - 19

I have to pick Denver , only because I want the rest of the world to see the leader in Carolina Newton when all does not go well.

Denver's defense will keep them in the game.

This is a hard game to predict, given how each defense matches up to the respective QBs.

I tend to think it will come down to which QB makes the "big mistake."

This should be a really good, albeit low scoring , game.

Given all his experience, I trust Peyton over Cam in this one.

Broncos 20-16.

I think the only way Carolina loses is if Cam's dream season goes up in flames.

Carolina 27
Denver 13

Steelers @ Denver: General media consensus was Donkeys blow us out. Didn't happen
Cheatri*ts @ Denver: General media consensus was the Donkeys had no chance. Bye-bye crybrady.

Been hearing a lot of talk in the media and from people in general that Carolina will blow out Denver. There is a fair chance that COULD happen but i think it will be closer than most people think.

My prediction:
Denver Donkeys-28
Carolina Kittycats-24

yeah, those dummies in Vegas are usually way off

Everyone is all over Carolina because most people have only seen them play 2 games, the playoff games vs Seattle and Arizona.

Seattle dominated most of the game. They stumbled out of the gate, literally, because Carolina installed a new field that was in terrible shape. Seattle wore the wrong shoes and didn't find the right ones until midway through the second. By that time, Carolina had 31 points, Carolina did not score again after 6 minutes in the 2nd. Shortly after Seattle solved their footing issue.

Cam threw for 161 yards. Stewart had 106 yards but 59 came on 1 play. Aside from that play he averaged 2.6 per rush.

Seattle threw all over Carolina. Wilson had 366 yards. Kearse had 11 receptions with 2 TDs. Baldiwn had 8 receptions. Despite what Baldwin likes to whine about lack of respect, the Seattle WRs are nothing special.

Carolina stomped Arizona but that was a total implosion by Palmer. The Cardinal defense was not the same after Tyron Mathieu got hurt in week 14.

I think Denver's playoff wins were more impressive. They had 2 hard fought 60 minute wins against offenses that are tougher to stop than Carolina. I know everybody thinks Cam is now some unstoppable force that has never been seen before, but at the end of the day Carolina is a power run team with Cam supplying some splash plays.

Wade Phillips confused Tom Brady. He has 2 weeks to prepare for Cam.

Most teams have to commit 8 or 9 to stop the Carolina run and that makes it easy for Cam. Denver's run defense is really good. Even if Denver brings the safety into the box to stop the run, they have the man coverage CBs who can cover the Panther WRs. Teams are afraid to use man against Cam because it's usually easier for the QB to run against man coverage. Denver's LBs can all run so they will be more willing to use man and make Cam complete tougher throws.

If Manning didn't have a noodle arm, this would be an easy Denver win, but he does. His arm did look better the last few weeks so maybe the time off and mild weather has helped.

I think it will be low scoring and defensive and either team can win. I like Denver's defense more. Carolina's defense isn't very tricky. Denver's can be and Cam hasn't faced a combo of pressure and coverage like Denver's so he is more likely to make a mistake.
