Season hangs in the balance with the impending Ben injury

Next week and the bye week should do it then.

Let him rest. Try for a playoff push if it happens it happens. Let the guy heal fully

Hopefully Jones plays better then last time when he is the starter. Off the bench does well. Starting needs to be better. Let's go Landry

Mid foot sprain is as good as could have hoped. Hopefully, we can beat the Clowns this week because things are tough after the bye week.

It's good timing for they buy week given the circumstances.

I hope we can buy some good luck the rest of the season....lord knows we have had more than our share of bad luck with these injuries......:apple:

Ben will be sore but he should play next week. Taking the Brown's for granted and starting Jones could blow up in Tomlins face. (KC game ring a bell?)
Where did our tough franchise QB go?

Thank goodness wow we still have a season guys

He is tough! Both that hit by the Rams and the one today would be season ending for any *****-esque QB like Tom Brady! In fact two players would have been sentenced to death if those hits were on Brady. Giselle would be the executioner her finger on the switch while Brady log slams her in front of the victims she's executing as she climaxes throwing the switch on the victims!

Seriously?? I doubt Ben plays next week. Jones will start next week because he has too and not because Tomlin is taking the Browns for granted.

I disagree, that soreness in his foot will affect his mobility....mobility is a huge part of his game...and if you cant drop back, and plant, you cant throw effectively...today he improved but was still off on a few of his passes....winning today keeps us in the thick of the wildcard hunt.

Bud of mine PM'd me on Facebook and said it's a mid foot sprain and he will be out 2 or 3 weeks.

News gets better and better...

Ben Roethlisberger - QB - Steelers

Citing a team source, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the Steelers only expect Ben Roethlisberger (foot) to miss "1 to 2 weeks."
Previous reports had Roethlisberger missing "at least" a few weeks. Mort's report indicates Roethlisberger should only miss Week 10 against the Browns, then sit out during Pittsburgh's Week 11 bye, and return in Week 12 against the Colts. Expect Landry Jones to get the start against Cleveland, with DeAngelo Williams operating as the focal point of the Steelers' offense.

Week 12 we travel to Seattle then have the Colts at home the following week.

If reports are right then Ben should only miss 1 game. Landry plays against Cleveland and then the bye. Hope that is the worst case.

It is good news. But damn, this season has been the biggest kick in the balls with injuries that I can remember in a long time.

Well that is the best case scenario on that injury thankfully.... whewww

I can breathe a little easier...

Pretty good news, all things considered.

Unfortunately, we'll have to endure another edition of Ben's "rusty" return games.

Lol,that was a bit harsh.

Is Vick ready to be considered a backup with his hammy issues? Or do we have to sign someone?
By the way that was a good entertaining win, with the usual Steelers giving my heart a jolt or two. The Raiders played hard as well with Carr looking like a good future qb. Congrats on a needed win.

Damn Ben, you are one resilient SOB. I thought it looked a lot more serious but missing the Browns game and then having the bye he may be good to go in three weeks then.

Landry needs to come through next week for us plus he's been a pleasant surprise to us all coming through like he has. I know he lost at KC but that was a pretty nasty defense to go against in his first start and he didn't play that bad.

We may be able to squeak into the playoffs afterall but I don't think we go too far with all of the injuries.

We have Charlie, err I mean Tyler Murphy.
Remember, this is the team that plugged DB Tony Dungy in as emergency QB, thus becoming the only player to catch an interception and throw an interception in the same game.

The defense will have to step up against the Browns, and the coaches will have to come up with an offensive gameplay that doesn't involve Landry jones throwing the ball 15 yards downfield on every f'n pass play.
