Week 2 at Cheatriots Game Day Thread

we can if the rest of the team is good. A questionable line and no open WRs is not a good combo

Huh, that's funny...one of those won 2 Super Bowls.
This one isn't, thinking he can is folly. We've seen a season and a game of this quarterback and there is no indication hes capable of winning a Super Bowl or even a playoff game.

Nate Burleson just said our offense is "granola" And I think he's right about not having any motion at the line to get a D to give up the tell. I though McCarthy would be more creative than this. Maybe he wants to keep it simple for the O-line. Whatever it is something needs to change.

Kentucky's offense is more creative. I guess McCarthy is yet another getting paid in retirement from the retirement community of the NFL.

We did last week. I am afraid losing Pittman messed up their plans. Rookie is doing ok.

We have 1 TD in 6 quarters. That definitely won't get it done.

Watt leads our team in.......

TDS.....🤪

Metcalf was brought in for runblocking cause the previous staff was obsessed with that

They moved Troy to LT, Cook to RT, McCormick to LG and Anderson to RG... only Frazier is in the same spot from last season... plus they changed scheme and some techniques... it may take a minute to Gel

Exactly. There's been tons of changes and the starters didn't play much preseason. Plus, McCarthy's practices were light in contact. It will take time for the OL to come together.

The offense won't do much until they can block.

Ok, im gonna say this for the trillionth time...

When there is a significant scheme change, it often takes up to 3 seasons to completely install a new system.. almost always the first half of the first season has a metric ton of older stuff still mixed in, because you cant expect players to relearn everything all at once...

This is also true with rookies and Ufa additions... there is an acclimation period where plays and assignments are usually limited with them until they have a thorough grasp of everything...

So the Oline, The O in general, even a lot of the D is still carryover from last seasons plays...

Every week they should be getting better and adding more in.. it isnt a finished product by any means

Here's where we see if we actually adjust. For one thing that PA in the face of their pass rush and our crappy O-line play is not very smart. Problem is Rodgers loves that style of play.

As each game on the schedule is played we will continuously learn what kind of coach we obtained.

I do expect some adjustments after the half.

Germie with 4 catches.

Pittsburgh 17:39 in terms of possession.

Short game is needed, can’t abandon the run but need a little hitch put into it.

Get RB on a 1 on 1 in the flat / PA up the middle and FB pulls up +3-4 across the line for pass.

Salute the nation

Let's call it what it is. The Steelers still have a QB problem and it's making our issues along the OL worse than what it is.

That sucked

I buy this to an extent, but we routinely see new coaches step into new environments and bring the best out of their players. The Steelers are limited because of the quarterback.

Nice pick.... Queen!!!!!
