Lol... for all the people who interject race into the Tomlin stories, you'd think more people would mention he is the all time wins leader among black coaches... probably because his record is impressive enough to warrant a hall of fame vote without it, but he assuredly will be in... even if he came back and totally tanked elsewhere

Like Drink, I wish Tomlin well in whatever he does going forward. Sometimes a coach just needs a change of scenery and to be a new voice, I hope he has success against every team but the Steelers

NBC was the only network that came into the offseason with both a clear need and the willingness to act on it. Tony Dungy had confirmed he was leaving Football Night in America after the Super Bowl. As we previously reported, Rodney Harrison and Jac Collinsworth are unlikely to return, taking the entire on-site satellite studio with them, while Matthew Berry is also unlikely to returnto FNIA. NBC was also planning to move the show on location every week, abandoning the Stamford studio setup it had used for years. What emerged from all of that was a show that needed to be rebuilt around a single voice that could anchor it.

“I think he did very well from what I understand in terms of what he got paid,” said The Athletic’s sports media insider of Tomlin.

When they ask him what the strategy should be for a team losing at the half, what will he say? What he said every Steeler game: they have to play harder. That's the limit of his Xs and Os knowledge. Next man up... brilliant, coach. Who was next man up for Ben. No one... five years later. The man is as thick as two short planks.

I think I almost agree. Very very few.

Most just want wins and championships. Don't care how we get them.

I would say 99.9% don't care about color.
Hell we have idolized Jack, Mel, Joe,Troy,Ben, Lynn. Etc
Posters on the wall, jerseys, helmets....

Sorry, just entering the convo. You say you're not fooled by facades but seem to have loved Tomlin. Tomlin was a walking talking facade his entire career, yet you seem to have never saw through that. Sorry, but calling someone else out on that seems rather hypocritical.
